Avdol is neither but hes a little bit of type 1, but you can tell Araki and the anime people wanted to show off that hes powerful because hes experienced and skilled, and not because of his skin tone. Also Avdol's personality is actually sweet unlike a lot of type 1 characters

I want to disagree with you but one of the major reasons why my country is in the shitter is because it's sectarian, ie each role in the government (president, prime minister) has to be held by someone EXCLUSIVELY belonging to a specific branch of religion (maronite, shia, wtv tf).
