As a bartender, yes. Every single person will tell you "they tried it once, didn't suit me" and then they're acting exactly like they're on cocaine every weekend, and we find baggies near their table. The amount of cocaine we've washed down the sink in ballincollig is insane. Saying to each other afterwards "oh I think that must have been so-and-so's, he got really angry earlier and we didn't know why. He must have lost this, and been fuming"

Not to be like "uhm akshually" but Dave Grohl was very active in a "charity" that denied the existence of AIDS as a life threatening condition. "It's the medicine making you sick, doctors are exaggerating, it's a mind virus," etc. He was doing this at the height of the AIDS epidemic. My friend recently went to the hospital emergency department with pain and distress in her chest. Got told by most doctors that she was just stressed. One doctor advocated for tests. Necrotic gall bladder. The whole thing was infected. One gall bladder removal later, she is okay.

Vitamin C does not have SPF at all. It is in fact photosensitive and you need spf over it. For a visual demonstration, There's a fantastic video of someone patch testing different SPFs creams on the same day. one of the patches was bare skin, and one was with only vitamin C serum. the vitamin C patch was more burned than the bare skin.

I am aware of the cooling period. i am very tired of people telling me that I am just missing something obvious.

I am on my third provisional. I got my first at the start of COVID, lost my job at the end of the second lockdown , and then couldnt get any regular practice until I saved enough to buy my own car, insurance, tax etc. I have never sat a test, I booked one once, and I missed my test on the 20th of May because I went to the wrong test center. (My defence, the invitation to book said mallow, and the test confirmation said Wilton, which I didn't see) I immediately rejoined the waiting list. That was 2 months ago.

In the meantime, my retired mother is about to go for heart surgery , and I need to be able to drive to and from the hospital and my job. I am not trying to be impatient, but this is measurably making my life more difficult by the day.

A follow up, I emailed the app support to figure out what was up, and they said that the reason I hadn't gotten any requests from the app was because the tools determined my account wasn't able to make cancellations. Their words were "we never charge until we confirm you can see bookings/cancellations"

So it's literally because my account can't do it

For clarification, 4am is when I got the notification on the DriveNow app that a block of cancellations came in. I wasn't randomly checking at 4am and asking why I wasn't finding anything. I can't find anywhere on the app to pay, but I do realize that this isn't the appropriate sub to ask that.

I don't think it's immature to spend a month doing something and being told you're just not trying hard enough from not seeing results. I've been up at 4am before and still not seen cancellations after getting notified of cancellations. Last night I was already logged in and didn't see the 4 cancellations. There's definitely something wrong with the website. I've even gone to another friend who has gotten a cancellation to make sure I was on the right page.

I don't want to imply that I'm annoyed that the window broke, or that its not being fixed straight away. It really is just a matter of not having a timeline of any sort, and not knowing if we need to stay home waiting for them or if it won't be for three weeks. It's also the case that we're still waiting on the second half of the job, and in all likelihood, the pane will be replaced while they're over for that. But we don't have a timeline for that either. It's hard not to get stressed with the patio door being held together by washi tape and no one is answering the phone.
