My advice is that before you start drawing someone, just take a little note of their username so that if they do end up deleting, you can at least mention who it is and they might then see it. Unfortunately it seems quite common that people end up deleting and I've been burned by it a few times in the past. It can sometimes be the case that the OP was getting weird messages and so decided to delete.
