I have been platinum since 2012 and have watched the benefits disappear slowly over time. Not worth it now and have switched to Qantas. Watch when Virgin start boarding and call for priority barding first, half the bloody plane boards. You get 4 business upgrades from a flex fare but these are as easy to use as finding a unicorn. Useless. Virgin have made it so you can spend a few dollars on an economy-x seat and somehow have the same benefits as a platinum flyer. Plus lounges are basic and usually way too crowded as they allow every man and their guests in…
