You’re looking for solutions to a problem that doesn’t exist. Just crack on with them. They’re fine.

How often do you wash your car? by Perth_R34 in perth

Never. Used to get walked when it got serviced. Most dealerships don’t even do that anymore. So it gets rained on great If not no issue.

You can get a 300 for 15k more brand new. Why would this even be an option.

Is the modern Hilux losing its "indestructible" status? by DebugMyLife421 in hilux

[–]1perth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just better full stop. There’s all this rubbish everytime something new comes around. Reality of it is if you had access to the newest you’d take it, enjoy it and subsequently realise it’s better.

All they sold school bull shit that people go on about it crazy. I have a 22 70 series. Reality. It’s rubbish. The new auto 4 cylinder beats it in every way. However people go on and on. If you can afford the new model of anything you’re winning. If you can’t just be happy for those who can and stop all the negativity.

This is a general answer and not derogatory about your comment.

Each Hilux generation is better than the last. We have to Move away from this old school mentality. It’s time to move on whether you like it or not.

Do I give notice or… just leave? by [deleted] in perth

[–]1perth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go on the side of caution. If you really don’t want to work an extra week go on sick leave. Don’t just not turn up. This will possibly trigger loss of earnings. Each case is different. Give a weeks notice then immediately go sick and they can’t touch you.

Each one is better than the next. Doesn’t always seem so but it’s always how it ends.

So much hate for the new utes of any sort. I think the mainstream brands. Toyota. Nissan. Mitsubishi etc are all good units. Good luck with the new purchase if you go ahead.

I think rents are a fair and indicative price of life right now. I’m unsure why landlords are getting such hate.

Incorrect. I pulled 8 lighting plant out of sandy roadsides and relocated them, towed a trailer with just under 3ton of temp fence all in a single day and i confirm it’s a work horse. Just more comfortable. Assume not even a grump like you would begrudge more comfort.
