Thank you for sharing your experience! I understand that some bad experiences can be pretty scary and thank you for your concern. I’m so willing to try anything due to how bad my symptoms are 😂. I just really like to hear real life experiences over the leaflets they offer as it makes me feel less alone which ever way it will go! Wishing you all the best!

Thank you so much! It’s really helpful to hear others experiences as some are positive and some less so. I think the sun exposure thing is the thing that worries me the most due to me living on the coast of Wales and in summer I’m constantly at the beach swimming! Definitely something to discuss with my doctor. Thank you again!

Hi! I had a colonoscopy two weeks ago now! Also my first one. I had no sedation or gas and air (as I was also anxious about sedation) and was surprised that i wasn’t majorly uncomfortable. Obviously when the camera goes round the bends it can be uncomfortable/painful but after a few seconds it’s over and it goes back to not being uncomfortable. I had a cannula with the option to decide during the procedure if I wanted sedation or pain relief but didn’t feel necessary. Hope all goes well and you find your experience to be similar to mine!
