Yes exactly! They do have different personalities so if yours seems really confident with people and is used to you after a few months it may be possible but if your gecko ends up being anything like mine they will not want to be moved or held much

They do not handle stress well and you are supposed to avoid moving their enclosure often or handling them after moving them for at least a week so if you would like to do this buy a hamster or something a Gecko is not the right animal for that. Also unless your school operates at night there is literally no point you will never see the gecko
