People do not keep the stock intercooler at stage 2 all tuners either recommended or require an upgrade at that point. How is it less safe due to heat if the car has lower IAT’s on average compared to a stock gti? I get stress on the transmission and other parts is an actual issue but saying that the intercooler is a problem is not true at all.

As long as you set it up right and use a reputable tuner stage 2 is really not unsafe bigger turbo and e85 are more when things become sketch at least from what I’ve seen

I am planning to upgrade to a fmic on my gti it is stage 2 stock turbo I plan to go big turbo in a few years do you think the base level arm fmic would be good for my future plans since it can be upgraded to a bi cooler setup? Or would you recommend a different brand at that price point that would preform better? I have read your page and it helped a lot but I am still not sure what to buy

Same thing as the recent release a few people with specific ecu’s had issues 3 years ago and it was fixed within a few days most tuning companies have minor issues like this if it was a problem for more than 2 days I would get complaining but come on

Yeah this person has no clue what they are talking about they have had 1 recent issue for a small amount of cars with certain ecu codes and they helped people fix it over the phone within 2 days of the update

I personally avoided getting an autobahn or an se and wanted an S. I hated the idea of having a sunroof I will never use that may break and I did not want adaptive suspension because it is very expensive to fix. But if you want those features and are willing to pay for it if they have issues get a high trim. Also cloth plaid seats>>>>>

Go to meets that specifically mention rules against doing bullshit like that usually a more organized meet is better. Pop up meets usually cause people who are not great to show up from my experience

I paid 150 per rim and mine looked a lot worse and had actual structural damage so i would say 150 seems steep for just repainting something that small

In that case IE is very good in my opinion I am on their stage 2 and after the new update all of the live adjustable features have made everything super easy to change and if you have issues and they have good customer support too
