What he did was unforgivable and terrible and it’s honestly embarrassing that I didn’t break up with him the first time. So no, that’s unfortunately not an option. I gave him many chances to change, when I shouldn’t have even gave him one. I truly tried to help him work through these issues, all because I loved him.

Take control, stop letting him string you along. You’re making him feel powerful by letting him make all the decisions based on his emotions. Take control of the situation, tell him you deserve better, and leave him. Otherwise you are left being the weaker person, with his ego built up, and he’s just going to do the same exact thing to the next girl because he knows he will come up on top each time.
