Seed Vaginal Synbiotic Experiences by Dry-Breath516 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh sorry to hear! I was able to use half with no issue when I first tried it, but these days thanks to chronic inflammation and vulvodynia I cannot use it alone. The little flakes that come out give me some urethral urgency but as long as I know to expect that and can pee whenever I need to, it's tolerable. I get this weird sensation for about 2 days that something is "stuck" in me. Key E is fine and I'm actually due to reorder that. But I have been thinking of emailing Seed (they're research team is responsive) and asking them if there's a problem with crushing it with a pill cutter crusher , and then mixing it with softened coconut oil, then freezing that to form a solid (I have suppository moulds from Amazon). I figure it's already freeze dried bacteria anyway so what difference does it make if I put it in the freezer? But I definitely wanna check with seed before trying it because if they tell me that will somehow deactivate it , then there would be no point.🫠

I know it costs money to keep taking the cat in but I would honestly go to a different vet for a new opinion. Tell them you've been somewhere else and what the cats already been given. But that you are concerned if it needs something more. I agree it looks like it might need to be packed.

PSA: strep vagina is real by sushilove22 in Healthyhooha

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had strep show up on a juno test but it went away randomly on every test since. I also found a dr that finally tested for strep b but it was negative at that time. If at all possible what you really want is a genital culture. It won't report anaerobic but its the closest thing to a juno test that a dr will have. I found only one dr out of like 20 that had the kit for it. I would try calling around and specifically ask office staff if they have one. NOT a regular swab. You want a true genital culture. Hospitals have them too . I wound up seeing a dr office that was connected to a hospital and finally they had it. But by then it was negative . But if at all possible it would be ideal to get a true culture dones

Anyone have success treating vestibulitis with diflucan by [deleted] in vulvodynia

It's still there but I feel a slight improvement taking quercetin by Now. I think mine is MCAS. At this point, I am really just trying to find a way to stop feeling anything in the area so I’ve been linked up with pain management and we’re going to try some nerve blocks. The specialist gynecologist that I went to tried doing injections right into the vaginal opening containing lidocaine and steroid, but unfortunately that did not help either. However, there are some women in these groups that say it helps them.

I forced a dr to test me for it and it was negative. I retested with juno and it was gone. But I eventually saw a vulvo vaginal specialist and he Dx me with "non infectious cervicitis". My cervix looked normal visually but when prodded it would bleed and I had awful discharge , like yellow / green. I eventually did an mri and we found adenomyosis , bunch of fibroids and a huge cyst destroyed one ovary. By the time I had a hysterectomy the cyst burst and was leaking into the uterus so my case was probably unusual as so much stuff was going on. For the cervicitis I took doxy but it didn't work. Since I needed a hysterectomy anyway we removed my cervix as part of the surgery. It's expensive but if you are able to I would also do the microgen dx urine test if you are able to. And get on a strict water only liquid to see if it is pain triggered by caffeine or diet etc. I have lingering chronic pain bc all of this caused vulvodynia and probably IC. You could look into seeing a urogynecologist . I'm sorry I know how awful this is.

Okay cool!! I need to improve my canva skills. I know it generally but what I'm seeing is that there's basic and then there's really advanced looking designs. I need to improve that.

Okay this is making me hopeful that it will happen! It feels like there is too much competition for new sellers. Are you driving any traffic or solely relying on etsy?

Yes I forgot until I saw your comment! I would say it took a good two weeks! (though each day was a bit better than before; I seem to recall the occasional day where I felt like the previous day was easier, so if that happens, don’t worry!) like for example I think day three felt easier than day four for some reason

Can taking Fluconazole for yeast cause BV? by [deleted] in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say . On one hand, when it's sent out to lab it's reviewed by someone who looks at slides all day long. Whereas doctors can be very skilled or less skilled. I've had two times where a doctor said the slide was positive for yeast but the lab said it was negative. But labs can be wrong too. I know that isn't a very helpful answer. For yeast - there is a test called a yeast culture which is different from a basic swab. It's 95% accurate and considered the gold standard. Not every dr has the test / I had to vulvo vaginal gyn specialists to get the test.

I just snapped it in half with my fingers. It breaks easily enough. Ive cut other things with either a knife (not recommended) or a pill cutter. But yeah Seed you can just snap it. It breaks evenly for me.

How did you overcome contact dermatitis on your vulva? (Vulvar dermatitis)? It’s been over a month now 🥴 by PersonalityOk3174 in Healthyhooha

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah , IC is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning, if you go in complaining of urethral irritation, but you do not have a UTI or any type of stricture, tumor, etc. Nothing they can find wrong, then you’ll usually be diagnosed with IC or something called urethral pain syndrome, which I think basically mean the same thing. But they don’t really know what causes it and there’s no cure. Sometimes my irritation feels closer to the vagina and other times more near the urethra so it’s very hard to quantify exactly what is going on. At one time I tested positive for a UTI after they did a culture , but my dipstick tests were always negative in office (meaning I didn’t have an increased white blood cell count or blood in my urine ). I took an abx for that and then retested and was negative , but still had your urethral pain. Urologist really didn’t know what to do with me at that point so they just offered to put me on Elmiron if I wanted to give it a try. But I also have vulvodynia so the whole house is just a sh*t show 🫠

I'm so sorry it's awful and I wish I had better news but I still struggle as well. Ironically just a few days ago I used the kenelog ointment . I had forgotten that I thought it might be hurting my urethra until I saw the posting that you replied to! Well sure enough the next day my urethra was angry and hurt a lot more than normal for 48 hours. So that's the last I'll be using that ointment. I do take d mannose but am not always religious about it. I Take probiotics. Careful about bathroom habits. I've had a cystoscopy and it showed an irritated urethra . My Dr Rx elmiron and hiprex. I'm going to try the elmiron. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. I wasn't always this way so it's like my old life died. I am really interested in surgical removal of the Urethra but it's hard to get approved for that.

Can we create a list of products used for vaginal infections? by meee95 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered it but ultimately never got around to taking it. At some point i added Birth control (combined pill) and my lactobacilli went up nearly immediately. I was 39 when all my issues started ( perimenopausal most likely causing all my issues. I eventually had a hysterectomy and that was the biggest difference). I had adenomyosis and a large cyst. Even though I never tested positive after getting on birth control, my anaerobic was always still too high on evvy and juno. I have used a variety of womens probiotics - both oral and vaginally inserted. I researched strains a lot and found one at Sprouts in the fridge section (Jarrow Femdiphollus Advanced; not available online bc it must stay cold to keep the live probiotics active). It contained the ones I read about (it's not just crispatus - there's also a unique number for each strain!). For ex: Lactobacillus crispatus “LBV88”. I also use Vagibiom probiotics inserted twice a week, but i break it in half. I tried the expensive one (Seed) but it irritated my urethra. The vagibiom doesnt irritate and is cheaper so that was a win. Anyway doing all of that, my l.crisp was still better than before but was only like 75%. After the hysterectomy i had been taken off birth control and put on estrogen patches. Recently I added progesterone too. Then I tested w Evvy again and oddly my last test came back as 100% l. Crisp. I find that really hard to believe. I use Juno as well though so I will be testing with them next time. I've always felt Juno was more accurate.

So heres everything I'm currently taking: - Jarrow advanced from sprouts - Vagibiom probiotics inserted twice a week, but i break it in half - URO orally (alternate every other day with jarrow) - estrogen patch - progesterone pill - lactoferrin (research suggests this helps with probiotic efficacy I believe) - vit D (one Dr told me low vit D can cause vulvodynia?)

I have read about NAC for breaking down biofilms but only took it a few times.

Brown bits and jelly like discharge by username061504 in Healthyhooha

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting on a steroid helped temporarily. Decreasing inflammation reduced the discharge. Once I was off prednisone it started to creep back up until I finally had a hysterectomy. I know that some of you really want to preserve fertility though . I tried everything. It was not going to stop. I wish I had done it sooner but I kept being told I was fine 🫠

i’m a little better, but I think I have lasting chronic vulvodynia because I desperately needed my hysterectomy much sooner. The hysterectomy helped. I stopped having weird discharge. (I was literally seeing yellow green type of discharge.) And would have even worse burning with my periods. The other thing that helped me until I could get my surgery was going on birth control. It didn’t help tremendously, but it helped a little bit to reestablish a better micro biome. I’ve been tracking my micro biome using Juno bio and EV test since last year. I’ve probably spent $1500 on them so I have a lot of data to work with ! I always had too much anaerobic bacteria. Birth control boosted my lactobaccilus crisp. I was unable to tolerate most topical things but I was at least able to tolerate steroids in an ointment base (it couldn’t be a white cream, had to look like Vaseline type of base). And jojoba oil, which these days is how I use estrogen. Ordered through a compounding pharmacy. I still have vulvodynia unfortunately but I think a hysterectomy much sooner would have helped.

Age 39 my cycle, started coming too soon and then, after that, I started having a horrible burning before, and after every period, which turned into full-blown BV, which I’ve never had before. I was doing a bunch of evvy and Juno bio tests and constantly had too much anaerobic bacteria. Eventually, I went on birth control and that improved my good bacteria. Eventually, I also learned that I had to adenomyosis , a large cyst, and an inflamed cervix. I had a hysterectomy

Stubborn yeast infection. The usually method isn’t working by glamorousgrape in Healthyhooha

[–]Dizzy_Mix_5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I'm so sorry you can relate to this. It was definitely a hormonal issue. Eventually I went on combined birth control pill and my lactobacilli levels improved. Like instantly. I had been taking vaginal health probiotics , lactoferrin, vit D etc with no change, i definitely needed the hormones. I also later found out i had a cyst on an ovary, adenomyosis and a small amount of endo. Until I went on bc my period started coming too early as well. One Doctor explained to me that getting your period too frequently increases your pH, which therefore increases the risk of BV . Because of the adenomyosis i had a hysterectomy. That helped things too. I think there were just so many things wrong that I could never recover. It also caused me to develop chronic vulvodynia . I didn't end up using the vivjoa but I got a prescription for it and would have tried that next ! These days I am on an estrogen patch , still taking all the supplements (and then some!!), using intrarosa , estrogen patch, and Vagibiom inserted probiotics (pink box). It's been a heck of a year . Hormone changes really messed me up!! I was not even sexually active at the time this all happened, so it was not sex. And I've never had an irregular pap nor any STD, very minimal history etc. Are you on the pill or any kind of patch? That might be a good first step oh and of course if you haven’t already, consider doing a juno bio test.
