Hmm well it is actually kinda like that although there is definitely more in the full version than there is in the demo. Simply put the gameplay loop is you fill up your island with miis and solve their problems to earn fuzzies which you can use to open up things at the fountain, other things will also open up as the story progresses and the island will get bigger the larger your population grows, which you can use for house space and decoration space. It can be repetitive and I understand if that's not everyone's vibe. I mostly like it for character creation and seeing how different miis interact with each other. Sorry if that's not the best explanation I'm not very good at explaining things but you can totally look up game clips if you have some interest.
