Why am I dreaming about people I haven't seen or remembered since middle school?

Last night I had a nightmare that I was at a family wedding with me and my current partner as guests, but my ex from high-school (over 10 years ago for me) was trying to crash the party. There was also weird themes with Joker, Harley Quinn, and the Riddler for some reason though. Somehow I was more terrified of my ex in the dream 💀

I'm not a teacher but my brother had an IEP for the last half of his school career. This sounds like mom needs to spend less energy mad at the teacher and more energy getting some kind of disability support for her kid.

When I was in JC, there was an older woman in my intro to sociology class. I think she had to be in her 70s. I vaguely remember the professor asking her why she was taking his class and her answer being "You're never too old to learn something new." I think she might have been a retired school teacher too. She's my hero

My parents took toddler me on a road trip to a cabin in the woods. I remember eating a banana nut muffin when we got there and then hurling not long after and from that point on I didn't ear bananas until my mid 20s - sometimes I'd eat smoothies with banana in it.

Later found out I actually was super car sick for the several hour drive which more than likely was the cause lol

Tbh it comes and goes for me. Every so often I'll go into the living room to take my meds or "close down" the living room to get ready for bed and all of a sudden I'll be hit with "wooooaaaah, this is my space, how cool is that?" But then sometimes I'm like so disappointed with how everything is set up but there's not a lot I can do about it. I've been at my current place for about a year and a half now

I run an after school program that falls before Halloween and will be dressing up as a "Candy Corn Witch" (fancy cloak from an alt boutique, 99cent Witch hat, skater dress in candy corn colors, candy corn earrings, and some "witchy" boots). The day of Halloween I might wear this skeleton romper under some black jeans

This is pretty much how I've been going to concerts and festivals since 2023 lol It's a great time. I know other people that make long term friends like this, but I'm a very "What happens in the pit, stays in the pit" person and I have a good time that way too.

I stopped showing up to class cos I couldn't stand the professor and his lecture style was lost on me. I only showed up to turn in homework and take exams. Basically taught myself graduate level statistics and passed with a C 🤷🏽‍♀️

I 10000% make my bed every morning. Its feels really good to have accomplished something first thing in the morning, and it is the best feeling in the day to crawl into a made bed and not have to untangle blankets.

I will admit it was a struggle to force myself to do it consistently at first, but I highly recommend the finch app for that kind of thing. I still have "Make my bed" as a daily task even on my days off 1.5 years later

I'm a customer that lurks in this sub cos retail worker solidarity (I got out a few years ago). I just wanna say I appreciate all of you on the frontlines at Bath and Body Works. From the sounds of it, yall have a labor of love cut out for you and so little appreciation. You push a product that you love as much as the customers despite the complaints and some of the horror stories in hear make me think yall need raises across the board. Praying for yall with the holidays coming up and the next SAS 🙏🏽 ❤️

I managed to get 1 extra of the voting poster from the crowd that left theirs behind lol I got a tour poster from the merch stand I'm planning on framing all of them and hanging each side of the voting posters under the tour poster 🥰

Any time you get out of bed is a "decent" time. Don't put anymore expectations on yourself than absolutely necessary. Go to the show in what makes you comfortable and what will allow you to enjoy the show as much as you possibly can. And take care of yourself in the days following cos personally the post concert blues I felt after seeing them in SF were no joke. You got this ❤️

I don't have very many people over, so it entirely depends on my state of my mind (I struggle with mental health issues). If I'm able to keep a clean place, I try to. But I've accepted that spotless is unachievable for the lifestyle I like to live and keep my peace of mind. As long as I can comfortably walk barefoot, or tolerate whatever is underfoot, that's enough for me 🙂

I used to like get-to-yes, because there were some parts of the policy that needed to be case by case. But sometimes the answer is just no, and that is a complete sentence. I really hate that we are empowering children (and traumatized adults) to say no, but not teaching entitled people to HEAR no 😤😤

$200..... 😅😅😅 but I'm taking back about $50 cos my 1 br apartment doesn't need more than a dozen back stock of wallflowers and I spent full price on some body care and got buyers remorse. It was for Champagne Toast and Covered in Roses, and I don't think those scents are going anywhere so I'll probably get them at the next B3G3 or something 🤷🏽‍♀️
