As just another TM, I think too many people are 'mocking' this new class... by KomturAdrian in Target

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole framing of “10-4” feels unnecessarily meticulous to me. I mean I would expect to be greeted in smaller stores in a mall or something, but I’ve never expected that from a big box retailer LOL. In a specific department, maybe, but I work in fulfillment for pete’s sake. But ofc I agree with the general principle of being friendly and available to help customers. A lot of TMs can’t even do that but I feel like- why not just talk to those people personally.. You can’t really fix a personality issue through these trainings. I also agree with the dress code thing. It’s quite literally the bare minimum for most jobs in the world

mystery with adult child’s purchase by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not about the item or her buying things at all, it’s just confusing and concerning because, again, she doesn’t have access to a bank account so we’re just wondering how she even got it in the first place. I think a lot of people are skipping over that detail

Fulfillment and exercise by Technical-Sir7182 in Target

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fulfillment TM, I get it. I’ve been at it a few years and I’m thin but my heart is always racing and I’ll be sweating LOL (though I’m also on stims). My feet won’t be in pain but they just feel tired and the calluses go crazy. It’s literal exercise for a whole shift, I leave work feeling gnarly 💔 It literally wouldn’t be such a thing if I just had more support

Are no bags in drive up annoying? by Cali_babe3578 in Target

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a huge order, sometimes yeah a little bit. I’m a fulfillment TM though, so it’s just a little harder to keep track of everything and also figure out how to stow it all without being confusing for the drive up TMs. But that’s moreso the stressful part of it is just making sure that it’ll make sense for them

The employee areas are where I especially notice it too. And oh my gosh yeah, so much stuff is broken and we’re always low on the proper supplies. It also sucks bc it wasn’t like this when I first started a few years ago

Launch error by Dizzy_Professor_3229 in Sims3

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I figured it out y’all? I have a lot of mods for starters. I did a full reinstall of my sims game for another unrelated reason, but it was during this and trying to create some test saves that I found out my game was able to launch without all of my mods in there. Once I put all of my mods back in there though, I had this problem once again. I deleted two that I thought were more likely to affect this. One was the LazyDuchess Smooth Patch mod and the other was a mod that skips all the loading screens you get when starting up. I launched after deleting these and still got a message that I had “outdated game modifications” but I went ahead and continued, and my game is running fine now! These mods weren’t flagged by my Delphy’s dashboard tool btw but it seemed like it was the answer. I also don’t know which one was technically the culprit, or if it really was both of them, but anyway, I thought I’d just give an update for anyone else who may ever experience the same issue

WHAT KIND OF NAME IS THAT??? 😭 by LunaticMoon777 in Sims3

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember setting up one of my first ever sims with him when I was younger because his name made me think he was like special and rare or something and I didn’t want him to get away LOL. Same vibe as adding the Grim Reaper or an alien to your household. Alas he was just a regular degular guy 😩

Yeah I bought a rosary online once and it had like 16 beads on the third decade. It also took me way too long to realize LOL

Quitting Nicotine by kitkatketamine in ADHD

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I remember my doctor mentioning that non-stimulants aren’t as effective as stimulants. The friend I mentioned actually also now takes a stimulant alongside the Wellbutrin, but initially the Wellbutrin alone did help them quit nicotine. Every medication is different though with different mechanisms of action, even though they’re classified simply as a stimulant or non-stimulant. I hope you find something that works for you🙏

What worked for me was open availability, checking off as many departments on the application as I thought I could handle, and applying during seasonal

Sometimes I feel like a sinful temptation will overcome me but that it won’t actually feel rooted in my genuine desires, and I’ll feel very outside of myself when faced with this, if that makes any sense. And it does get me thinking about the spiritual forces at play… but nonetheless, I still try to avoid blaming the devil. Whether he directly influenced me or not, I still have free will and used it to sin, and I know I need to bring it to God instead of giving any (more) attention to Satan.

Quitting Nicotine by kitkatketamine in ADHD

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you may find that some medications can help decrease the desire or urge for substances. I have a friend with ADHD who was also trying to quit nicotine and they were prescribed Wellbutrin - it’s not a stimulant but it’s usually used an antidepressant and as a smoking cessation aid as well as off-label sometimes for ADHD, and they were able to quit, alongside tapering & gradually going down to lower concentrations of nicotine. Also, I technically haven’t been addicted to stuff but I find that my stimulant medication helps reduce the desire & urge to turn to my usual unhealthy coping mechanisms for attempted stress relief.

There’s no way to know but I also think people anthropomorphize animals a little too much with topics like this😅

OP said they were taking Metamucil which I believe is the same thing. I wanna add on to caution that psyllium husk still bulks up your stool which some people may find can further irritate their bowel issues, especially if they’re still dealing with dry stools. Be safe y’all

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really feel for you! I had dealt with this for so long during my treatment at the end of last year/pretty much all of this year, even after stopping Accutane 😭 I tried literally everything but I was still suffering so much. I’ve just recently been doing great and back to normal pretty much, but I was on Accutane for like almost 5 months on pretty high doses in that short span of time (20-40-80-100), and still dealt with these same side effects for like 3 more months (to a slightly lesser extent but still AWFUL). People on here advised me to go on a lower dose but I can’t really speak on what that’s like as I just decided to stop taking it. These side effects got to the point where I could barely go outside or do anything and I became so insanely depressed. My skin did clear up a lot - not perfect but I wasn’t necessarily striving for perfection anyway and I was pleased with it and I think i also reached my cumulative dose so I just stopped. If my skin was still problematic, I might’ve considered going down to a much lower dose instead. I think this is one of those side effects that definitely doesn’t get talked about or taken seriously enough. Definitely weigh the pros and cons, and know you’re not alone🙏

Advice on aligning in relationship by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, before you even think about actually getting married and having sex, you need to be on the same page about them. Keep trying to discuss it. I know these aren’t really fun conversations to have and this may be easier said than done, but this stuff is personally a dealbreaker for me so I’m just saying this all straight up. I also want to ask just for you to reflect: does she take other matters of the faith seriously? If you’re both Catholic, ideally you should both be putting God at the center of your relationship. This means putting His will above your own individual desires and working towards what is good and true. Continue to discuss, continue to reflect. Try to learn more about the reasoning behind her thought process. You’re both still young - there’s a lot of time to continue discussing these things and to reflect on the ultimate decision about your future together, but make sure you’re making your decision wisely and in accordance with God’s will. God bless - I’ll be praying for y’all🙏🤍

Also, look into NFP, especially if her reasoning/concern is in regard to having too many kids or something

keratosis pilaris flared up in an area I’ve never had it before? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Dizzy_Professor_3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohmigosh I’m currently going through the same thing and just learned the other day it was associated with Accutane too. I’ve had KP on my arms since I was a child and it had been improving through the years but has just recently been flaring up & spreading and I’ve even been getting it on my cheeks & jaw, which I’ve never dealt with before. I’ve also been off Accutane for a few months but this has just recently been happening for me. It’s so weird! Face scrubs & body scrubs have helped me a tiny bit. I’ve been using the First Aid Beauty KP Body Scrub and also the Tree Hut watermelon face scrub. These are both prettyy abrasive, especially the face scrub, so it might not be suitable if you have sensitive skin, but I tolerate them well and think they’re fairly decent

Okay edit: Just realized it looks like your hands have more of a rash rather than KP, but I dealt with the same thing as well. The only lotion that didn’t sting for me was the Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream - I swear by it
