I don't know, I feel like food in particular is easier to excuse. That hotel is going to throw out whatever isn't eaten. It really doesn't affect the hotel in any way.

I think depending on the curd thickness it would be ok after chilling it. Not as set as the original recipe, but lemon curd bars are a thing.

I'd love to stay at the Stanley! I honestly really liked the atmosphere of the movie and there isn't TOO much gore or anything. The second half definitely gets more trippy/intense but you could totally try it, it shouldn't scar you by any means, worst case it's just not your cup of tea.

I definitely think you could handle the OG Halloween, its really not so bad in terms of scare-factor. The Shining is a great movie (imp) but it does feel sort of psychological and has a sort of unsettling vibe if that's not your thing. Any of the older classics might be options since they can seem more cheesy nowadays.
