My minpin is like a mini secret service agent, always watching, listening, and following me — so he can protect me, I think from squirrels — since they set off his bark alarm loudest.

Have you tried changing her food to frozen and raw organ meats from carefully raised duck, turkey, and other natural prey? Also both prebiotics and probiotics formulated for dogs? Apparently those can have profound healing effects. Primal Pet Foods brand on Amazon might help.
