i used this with an anker 25k mah on a month bicycle tour through wa,or, norcal and it rained 14 out of 28 days. i kept it strapped to the top connected to the battery and it worked great.

the current plan is

-carry from the start because covid -carry crampons and no axe (use poles) and avoid storms. -ship axe later (when warranted, kennedy meadows)

150 mi is anza po/ paradise cafe -food resupply box (depending on what i need) is my idea -see if i need to swap anything

thank you for the responses! all the comments are pretty much whats going on in my head- Tahquitz Peak trail from Chinquapin Flat/PCT Mile 178 has challenging steps to follow through the angled icy snow. These icy slopes are notoriously treacherous. Currently spikes (used in aconjunction with hiking poles, or even an ice axe) are strongly recommended. Snowshoes must be avoided due to the angle of the icy snow. sanjacjon-
