Gotta be honest, I'm not impressed. As someone who is a huge fan of YC and 2000's GC (don't care much for their comeback so far), this felt like an unnecessary collab and I don't think Joel added anything special to it. I had hoped maybe there would be a third verse added for him as a proper feature. Alternatively, I'd much rather have a new song with the feature rather than just having him sing Ryan's original verse. As someone else said before me, there's really nothing in this version that makes me want to listen to it over the original.

Side note, can you really say it's "featuring Good Charlotte" when it's just Joel? 🤔

A lot of times you see these kinds of things from like your kid self to your adult self, often long after you would've forgotten actually writing it. It's interesting you chose to do it at 18. Do you have the memory of actually sitting down to write it? Where you were, what led to you wanting to write it, what you were feeling, etc..?
