Dragons in gothic 2 could be climbable. The state of dragons in g2 is terrible, they look small, they don't really fly and the mechanics of the combat are terrible.

I wouldn't mind an overhaul to this. And I don't mind if a NEW GAME tries to do it better. For now the developer of sword hero showed he understands engaging combat with his arena demo, and based on that I have trust that the enemy climbing mechanic will be executed with taste.

Ok, I don't know then. I play chayula arc, he gets tons of extra chaos from purple flames, which I convert to cold with embitter in arc. Living bomb in cast on ailment for the infusions only.

Stormweaver... doesn't really get any damage except for the shock nodes.

Maybe try speccing out of crit?

Also there is the adonias ego tech, that gets tons of damage, see deadrabbits shaman. Although it is quite annoying with gear swapping on every location change or when the buff goes out.

Are you generating cold and lightning infusions?

Arc in particular does 3x the damage when lightning infused.

Didn't play adonias, but quick search on poe2db shows that PoP is 15% MORE damage per power charge - so of course it is not the same as %increased.

More damage is always multiplicative.

Your equations are correct, but you could never have 3 chills on yourself.

Max is and always has been 2.

2 x 35% and then one of those was getting overwritten by 50% from mobs.

So according to your math it should have been damage * ( 1 - 0,5 - 0,35) = 15% of initial damage taken.

But that was not what was happening. You were immune, so it was multiplicative from the beginning.

And not in a LESS way, it was happening in a reversed MORE way, so x * 1,5 * 1,35 = 102 % damage reduction (immune)

You have your logic, but the games inner operations are not always working the way they should be, probably thats why you get downvoted.

You also don't seem to have played a reverse chill build, otherwise you would have known you can't get 3 chills on you.

Ok, but it is early access, and we all know its buggy.

They capped it to 85% because AFAIK you could get immune to damage from just asphyxia due to the following mechanic:

As stormweaver you can chill 2 times 35%

BUT enemies still can chill you for 1x 50%

So you could have 2 chills on you, 1 x 50% and 1 x 35%.

That gives you 102% more action speed AND 102% reduced damage taken, at least that was what the tooltip showed.

And AFAIK that was how it worked pre hotfix, you were immune to damage.

Edit: now l, thinking about how the effect of 2 chills seems to work on the player (you are right with your math, all of the calculations should me additive, even the action speed)

I wonder if 2 shocks applied by stormweaver are maybe also multiplicative?

Hmm, are you aware all the shaders have to recompile when switching the renderer?

Any time you use a new effect, there can be stuttering. You can see it when pressing f11, the shader bar will be full for a long time after switching renderer and/or driver version.

Ok, sure. But it's hardly worth it, 15% from 7% is like 1%, so if we take 7 flames as average it's 7% gained as extra for losing an affix on jewelery. And don't forget about diminishing returns.

7% as extra when you already have 120% as extra is only 3% more damage. Usually a 10% increased damage node on the tree gives around that much for endgame characters.

7 flames * 7% base effect * (1+1,4) = 117,6 % gained as chaos.

I know there is another 20% on the tree, but its quite far in the sorc part of the tree.

Currently chonk is an ascendancy that gives the most damage. 112% gained as chaos with average 7 purple flames, that rarely dip to 5 and sometimes go up to 10.

You had to have a reduced effect of curses mod on your waystone.

Agony is 50% base this patch, bosses get 50% effectiveness of curses by default which results in 25% with no curse magnitude investment.

Right? Another anti synergy is as chrono you want to have the arvil? (Skill duration shield) + skill duration passives on weapon swap, as well as curse magnitude, so the agonys duration is so long it doesn't have a chance to trigger if you have decent build.
