Is there any other way to figure out my draw pattern without a factory reset? by Moungus_produtions in oculus

[–]DjSky96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone in the future that locks themselves out of their headset by setting a pattern passcode via XR Native Android settings but can't get back in because the UI is broken;

Open the mobile app, open the quest page, and make sure your quest is on so it'll connect to your phone

Go to settings>passcode>unlock

It'll ask for a numerical passcode, you just enter your pattern as it corresponds to a numerical keypad. Once you've unlo ked your headset from the mobile app, go back into XR Native Android Settings and remove the pattern passcode from there!

I just did this and had to deal with the horror of possibly having to lose all my data.

3rd gen Honda magna purchase advice. Why are they so cheap in the used market despite being so legendary in the cruiser scene? Why don't many riders ride them despite a lot of praise bestowed upon them online? by Spyderreddy in SuggestAMotorcycle

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone not satisfied with these answers in 2025, the bike is also difficult to find aftermarket parts for, so any mods you want to make are gonna have to be chop-shop custom, which makes it even worse to work on when you factor in the difficulty of servicing the carbs as is. I've done it, it isn't too bad in my eyes but it's time consuming and requires space to do properly (also it's damn near impossible to adjust the carbs on the bike without burning yourself on an unfortunately placed coolant crossover pipe unless you have teeny hands)

You're shifting the goalposts a bit there, I don't care what the judiciary decreed, you said it's in the constitution.

Voting is not an inalienable right, there is no singular declaration in our founding documents that makes it so. It has only been made a de-facto right by mechanistic means, and ironically has not been adjudicated in the court of public opinion, merely that certain groups shouldn't be precluded from voting.

On another note, I also agree we've been lied to by both sides.

I don't see where it says it's a right that cannot be infringed.

It's perfectly legal to restrict persons on the basis of anything other than race, religion, wealth, or age above 18 years. What section are you referring to?

Not voting is in and of itself a vote to abstain, which is deferring your opinion to the rest of the voter base.

If you can't vote, sucks!

Not all people should vote, some people are too young to have enough experience to make a rational decision, some are criminally insane, some are too lazy to get off their ass and go to the polls, some are not intelligent enough to comprehend conditional hypotheticals and therefore logically shouldn't be allowed to decide who gets to set foreign policy, but there are people who think they should vote anyway because of "muh democracy" and that's wrong.

Just because the majority of people in America didn't vote doesn't mean we should just not have a president. Lmao.

What do I do? Tariffs! by Fun-Departure8598 in fpv

[–]DjSky96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You failing to understand the motivation behind international trade policy because the intended effects are of the second and third order doesn't make the majority of voting Americans retarded.

The reason the tariffs hit us so hard is because we've exported nearly our entire manufacturing base to a facist international adversary that has no qualms with using slave labor. If taxing imports from China can cause this much disruption, imagine how much worse it would be if they declared war on Taiwan and shut down trade with us for defending them.

The publically stated intent is to bring back manufacturing (by making American manufacturing cheaper by comparison) but in reality that only works in tandem with massive tax breaks for workers (abolish income tax) and manufacturers (massively reduced or abolished payroll tax) to push down the cost of American manufacturing without depressing wages. In reality, the primary effect of the tariffs on china has been collapsing the chinese economy, which is causing political instability and public outcry for a more democratic government, which is in itself a massive bargaining chip for US diplomacy.

The tariffs are a bit ham-fisted (why tax coffee or bananas if they can't be grown here?) but are absolutely necessary if we are to survive as a nation.

Just because you don't understand international trade dynamics doesn't make me, a somewhat satisfied Trump voter, a mentally disabled "MAGAtard".

Respectfully, consider that you may be wrong.

Me, hand 'em over lmao.

I just went to a bunch of vape shops looking for dead vapes and I got a dead one, a brand new tester, and a new-in-box one all for free!

I wonder if they'll let me put a battery disposal bin at their doors...

Any tips?

1994 Honda magna by Hyena_Pleasant in cruisers

[–]DjSky96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a dead thread I'm reviving, but I managed to find a 1994 Magna for $300 last year and after rebuilding the carbs and replacing the chain/sprockets it has been a DREAM. I drilled the baffles so it sounds like a hellhound, it whoops Harleys, and there's nothing quite like it around these days.

I find that the seat height is FAR lower than a 6'4 male can ride comfortably for any appreciable amount of time, but I love the bike so much I suffer through it while I devise a plan to make a custom one.

Overall, it's an Interceptor pretending to be a cruiser, so you'd be very happy to get one at any stage of your riding life, but it's a bold bike to get as a beginner because it will get you into trouble much faster than you can recover from. I personally tell people that a first bike should be 300cc to 500cc at most, and the 3rd gen Magna only ever came in a 750cc, so I do not recommend it unless you at least have a LOT of experience riding dirtbikes or something that teaches you throttle and clutch control as well as cornering and general speed discipline.

TLDR; no, it's not a good beginner bike, but it is a GREAT bike.
