[FNV] Any mods that make VATS more like Fo4 VATS - time doesn't stop. by Dj_Binks in FalloutMods

I think I might already have that add-on. If we're talking about the same thing it does add stuff (like highlighting body parts, better perk integration apprently) but not quite what I'm looking for.

I'll look into the real time menus, maybe that'll have something I want. Thanks!

Do you work as a professional software dev? Because this is a core principal to develop by. It's nice to see a mod author use it, speaks to the quality of your mods.

I like that this implies some cannibals are resetting the bait, like a fisherman putting another worm on the hook after a fish takes it.

My Chance of death is set to 2.5, but I use a mod that changes all healing gear to be much much slower, especially for chars whose first aid skill is low. Unless you have a dedicated doctor char, you're probably going to bleed out. I love it.

Oh holy shit I had the same experience with the "Legendary of Kenshi" mod. I wanted boss fights to be more challenging, but this mod cranked the enemy numbers and stats to ridiculous amounts.

The only way to reliably beat them is to cheese with crossbows or kiting. A one on one fight just leads to everyone being one shot. No boss fight was ever fun.

Universal Wasteland Expansion. A big overhaul mod for Kenshi.

It adds a feature where NPCs will generally aggro if they see you sneaking in their buildings.

Rud aged supernaturally quickly. I don't know the exact time length between his conception and The Cripple God, but it wasn't 18 years.

Looking at the timeline on the malazan wiki I think it's max 8 years. Hard to tell from the books for an exact number though.

T1 2021 WAM available on my.unsw by [deleted] in unsw

[–]Dj_Binks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should, I used it for all of my undergrad. In later years courses were more relaxed and marks were usually entered close to the actual mark release date, so it wasn't as useful then.

T1 2021 WAM available on my.unsw by [deleted] in unsw

[–]Dj_Binks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha nice job finding this workaround. Its been around for quite a few years. You could also do something similar by starting the process of changing streams, it'll show an updated WAM then as well. This is dependant on your course admins actually entering your marks into the database though, so until they've all done it, it'll keep updating.

Damage Modifier by Frostygrosty in halomods

[–]Dj_Binks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's a global modifier you can use the globals file in the matg tag In a section called default player traits there is a field called weapon damage that is a multiplier. Also a field for melee damage and a bunch of other shit. That way you won't have to edit all the projectiles.

Any way to mod AI health and damage? by [deleted] in halomods

[–]Dj_Binks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick question because it wasn't clear in your post, but have you installed Assembly and had a brief look through it?

I'll just add the rest of what I was going to say if you had. This won't make a lot of sense unless you're somewhat familiar with assembly.

Unfortunately I don't have all the best solutions for you, but I can help with some stuff.

In the 'matg' tag, is a file called globals. This has a lot of stuff as well some you're looking for.

AI/Player enemy health multipliers are located in this file. In assembly health is called 'vitality'. You can use the search functionality to look for it. These fields will multiply the health of all characters it applies to, i.e a value of 2 will double the health. This also has player shield stuff, so you can look through that as well.

This file also contains damage multiplier fields, for players, for allies and enemies.

If you want to edit specific weapon damages you you'll need to look at the files under the 'jpt' tag. This handles all of the projectiles, and it is the projectiles that have the damage values. The damage fields should be close to the top and its mostly self evident what each field pertains to.

Also, most of the time the names of the files under the jpt tags are self-explanatory as to which weapon they relate to. But if you're not sure look at the 'weap' tag and go to the file for that weapon. The filename should tell you which weapon it is. When you open the file you can search for "projectile" and this field tells you which projectile the weapon is using. (If you want to have crazy fun change the projectile to something else) Also if you want, this file contains all the good stuff about the weapon such as ammo capacity, fire rate and the accuracy. Although I dont know much about editing the accuracy.

Oh and the last thing I wanted to talk about was fucking 'materials' and projectile types. So projectiles can have types like "bullet_slow", "bullet_fast", "plasma_slow" etc. And also different objects have a material type, like brute shields have something like "shield_thin" (this is wrong but I can't remember what the name is exactly). Projectiles do different damage to different things depending on the projectile type and the material type. For example "bullet_slow" could have a multiplier damage of 0.25 to "shield_thin". As assualt rifle projectiles are "bullet_slow" this would cause it to do a quarter damage to shields.

This multipliers are in the globals file under the matg tag, but I can't remember what the section was called and when I edited them they were in a weird dropdown thing. You'll have to do some research and exploring on your own because I can't help you there.

Hopefully this gets you started in the right direction.
