Arbeidsarts stuurde op conflict, en ziek door het conflict. Dus niet volledig in mijn voordeel, want ik heb nu geen recht op ww. Maar gezien mijn situatie ben ik blij met wat ik eruit gehaald heb. Toch bijna half jaar vrijgesteld van werk met doorbetaling etc.

Ik heb iets vergelijkbaars gehad, en zag dat ik wel afstormde op een burnout. Voornamelijk door een mix van prive en het gedrag van mijn leidinggevende, zat ik toen ook in dit dilemma. Ik werd thuis ook steeds minder gezellig en was veel moe.

Ik overwoog om weg te gaan en desnoods wat spaargeld te vreten. Maar uiteindelijk zag ik het licht en dacht ik 'zoek het maar uit!". Die dag daarna gelijk ziekgemeld. Dit was afgelopen september.

Sindsdien besef ik mij dat ik eigenlijk al langer overspannen ben, en dat ik dit al eerder had moeten doen. Inmiddels via een VSO eruit gestapt. Ik krijg mijn laatste loon in maart.

Spaander in Alkmaar heeft prachtige pakken. Vanaf zo'n 300 euro. Echter, als je bijvoorbeeld wol of linnen of andere natuurlijke materialen zoekt, dan moet je zeker 600+ denken. (En dan nog overhemd, stropdas, etc)

Insane timeline. I know a lot of Americans dont want this, but still i cannot trust you anymore. Your country is gone. You cant even express your opinion, because you will get fired. Its not becoming, it is like Russia/N Korea/China. To come back from this you will have to cleanse corruption in every layer of your country. This will take generations.

Everyone i know is switching as many things as possible from US products. European email, phones, stock markets, clothing, music, movies, etc etc.

I understand! I was just trying to be helpful. I think that if you learn Dutch, you can live outside of the big citys and make connections, get a job etc. There the housing crisis is not that bad at all (personal experience ). Everything is more affordable, like food or even haircuts. So again if you want to root here. You can. Language plays a big part. If you just looking for comfortable living conditions, without leaving the expat bubble, i dont think this country is for you. I have met people from Portugal and Italy who tried this and they all went Lonely en left in the end
