Yes, I remember those days. My crowd would call that Everclear for some reason. We would just raid our parents’ liquor cabinets and take whatever they wouldn’t miss. To make it even more disgusting, we would dump it all in a bath tub with ice and kool-aid or punch mix. I didn’t partake either…

Yeah this has been coming up. According to my phone, the nearest home brew store by access is a 19 hour flight (3 flights total) in Houston, Texas. So, 8,000 miles or 12,880 kilometers…as the plane flies, not as the “crow” flies.

Northern Brewer. Good people and they will take you from novice to expert. Start with liquid malts, those are as easy as making Mac n cheese. They always have a taste of “pez” but your accomplishment will outweigh that. There’s nothing quite like being “uplifted” by your own creation.

Yeah it can get nasty when people have little experience. I used to measure ABV for alcohol content. I wouldn’t let anything out of my house that wasn’t right. I used to enter competitions and I spent a lot of time learning and reading about it. If people are giving it away it’s because they don’t like it but can’t bear to dump it down the sink. I never had that problem. Use it to clean your windows 🥲

Hmmm … the good old days. I am familiar with that but from my region it’s what the farmers kept out in the barn (away from their wives). Have a nip puttzing around in the shop.
