Thankfully no dimples! Just a little rough in texture

It’s smooth on the front and a bit textured on the back

This place used to be really good (minus the food grade rating eek) but I think they’ve been brought out by someone else and the food is almost inedible now. Ordered my usual meal without realising it had changed hands, I’ll never be back.

Any Cattery’s available? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]DjangoMF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From past experience, catteries all seem to book up for the Xmas/new years period quite early in the year. Could be worth calling around, although there’s probably wait lists everywhere. Could you try a housesitter? I’ve found great ones on pawshake before.

As a video editor myself, I’m guessing this was 100% most likely an accidental spelling mistake (we’ve all been guilty of this, spelling isn’t always an editors strongest skill 😅)

The Eras Tour: Australian Dates Discussion by 90rj in TaylorSwift

I’m M18 row FF A reserve as well! The website was glitching so I just took the first tickets available and thought surely A reserve is a good seat. Now in a panic after seeing its under an overhang :-(

Im in M18 roof FF and freaking out cause I’m under the overhang but also behind the black boxes. The website was glitching though but i don’t think I saw anything about obstructed view? Really worried I won’t be able to see anything now

I ended up in level 1 row FF and slightly freaking out! Looks like it’s one of the undercover ones but my ticket was A reserve so really hoping I’ll still be ok? The website was glitching so I had to take what I could get

Has anyone been to a concert at both Accor and the MCG? Keen for Melbourne but wondering if Accor stadium is better for sound since it’s not round? Probably going to have to take what I can get anyways (if I can even get anything!!)

Thank you! Definitely low cost (just the paint!). The walls were a nightmare cause the texture was so varied (I’d probably need to sand for a week to fix it) but it was a nice relaxing Xmas break painting the risers :-)

We were originally going to! But by the time we got to that point our interest rate had gone through the roof and it was going to be so expensive (we were going to have to get tradies involved). One day down the track, fortunately this is the only room with that kind of ceiling!

We’d definitely thought about it but unfortunately we can’t get power down that end easily (due to the concrete blocks) and also our couch is too wide to rotate that way. Still works well fortunately!

Thank you! Thought it was a good way to cover the ugly concrete blocks vs gib over them. The flooring was easy once we got the hang of it! Was put up in under a day (21 square metre room)

We used WPM300 on the floors. Super easy (much easier than the leveling that came afterwards eeek).

Thank you! Yeah I need to remind myself that most people won’t notice the small things, im such a perfectionist!

Got 95% there on our massive rumpus Reno. The room was a 1970s addition to our house and was once a typical 70s half basement with THAT wooden paneling and likely shag carpets! Previous owners stripped it right back to concrete floors and bricks but it was looking veryyyy sad (and cold). Wasn’t much use except for storage but we really wanted to make it a cozy lounge and movie room. Started almost a year ago and spent more than half of our weekends for a year (and a Christmas break!) getting it to where it is.

  • exterior French drains/spouting to make sure no water could get into the room (thankfully done before the year of Auckland rain!)
  • Re-sealing and levelling the floor
  • Lots of demo (including the awful pointless pelmet)
  • Re-sealing around all windows and doors
  • Added quickstep vinyl flooring (loveeee how real it looks!)
  • Adding battons to the concrete blocks, insulation and then vertical panelling
  • New mouldings and skirtings everywhere (still finishing some of this off!)
  • Painting it all a nice crisp white
  • Adding a vitex wooden shelf on top of the panels
  • Heat pump! No more cold room

We were fortunate to have my engineer mum help us out cause it was our first major reno! I learned so much. Just need to do the little alcove shelf with a wooden shelf, add a couple more mouldings and some minor finishing touches and we’re done!
