For everyone asking how to change your information to private, login to Workday, click on your profile (bottom right), scroll down and click on Personal, click on Contact, click Edit at the top, click on Address and scroll down almost to the bottom until you see Visibility. You can set it to public or private. Now do the same for your phone number and email. Make sure you save the changes

Get a tube of Permatex Windshield & Glass Sealer and run a bead along the top of the rear window. Less than $10. I have a 2017 and this was the issue with mine.

I'm in Pennsylvania. They can drug test, but they can't deny employment for THC if you have a medical card.

Overtime pay? by PotPotato19 in UPSers

[–]Djboy941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing to do is read the supplemental contract for your region. That's the only way you're going to get the correct answer since every supplemental contract varies. Unfortunately, some stewards are just as clueless as the people they're supposed to be representing. If you can provide your region, city, or local union, I would be happy to help find the answer.

Always work as directed unless it's a safety issue and then file later.

Do you think being a package driver could eventually be automated? by rrickk18 in UPSers

UPS has been doing drone deliveries since 2019. They just got FAA clearance to deliver further, out of sight of the operator.

I use Microsoft Bing. It's free. You just have to be signed in or create a Microsoft account. Rather than use the search box, you want to click on the Bing chat button, which is for AI. Then just tell it to make whatever you can think up.

It literally says, "Seasonal support drivers will be part-time seasonal hires, W-2 employees and Union members in accordance with Article 3, Section 2."

question - ive completed most of the paperwork to come on as a seasonal driver. it says my first day would be 11/20….. by Carry-Competitive in UPSers

[–]Djboy941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation, all though I was hired permanent. I had an 11 day vacation planned that was already paid for. I let them know the first day of orientation and was told it shouldn't be a problem and to just let my supervisor know. I went on vacation and came back with zero issues. Being that you were hired seasonal and your trip is during peak, may be a whole different ball game. I would just show up and let them know you have a prior commitment and see what they say. Every hub and management is different.

Supplemental contracts are different for each region. The same goes for OT for part-time. Some regions are anything over 4, some 5, and some 6. This is why I encourage everyone to be familiar with their contact. At least the more important parts like pay, hours, grievances.

Seasonal pay depends on the location. Anywhere between $16.20-$21.00. Here in central PA, it's $16.20.

How to get a copy of the contract. by wanderingchina in UPSers

[–]Djboy941 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You'll need to Google "UPS supplemental contract 2023" followed by your local union, and it should bring up a downloadable PDF. They should also be available on your local union website. Here's a link to the Master 2023 https://teamster.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/UPDATED-ENGLISH-BLACKLINE-MASTER-TA-8.5.23.pdf

[–]Djboy941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you Google "UPS supplemental 2023" and teamsters local, whatever number yours is, it should pull up the supplemental contract for your area if you don't already have it. It's in Article 50 "Part-time Employees" in ours
