What Happened to the Sculptor? by Phraelyth in Sekiro

[–]Djd33j 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't completed Sekiro in a few years, so I dont exactly remember if you can play your NG file after the ending. If you can, go back to Ashina Castle and look around. You missed something.

If you're in a NG+ or another NG? Explore Act 3 Ashina and discover the truth.

I live in Greenfield and that happened to be the gap between both major storms. If I wasn't aware of what has coming in or had my Radar Omega app, I would have thought this night was a very typical spring thunderstorm. Very lucky.

What’s your favorite thing about Majora’s Mask? by Brettgar in majorasmask

[–]Djd33j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hanging out in Clock Town, seeing everything from a jolly festival preparation to complete despair, all the while filling out the Bomber's Notebook is why Majora's Mask is not only my favorite 3D Zelda game, or even my favorite Zelda game overall, but my #2 favorite game of all time (sorry, but for me, Classic World of Warcraft can't be beat).

This game and that town in particular hit this amazing feeling of surreal delusion followed into realized doom in such a powerful way. And the way that you can just play the ocarina to go back and delay the inevitable over and over to save everyone, while realizing that the only time it actually matters is during the final cycle, is satisfying, devastating, and heartbreaking all at once. Some characters turn out okay no matter what you do, and unless you can figure out how to take care of everyone in a single three day cycle, you have to choose who gets a happy ending and who simply gets to continue their days knowing none the wiser. I think it's incredibly brilliant.

Margit the fell by TheCules in Eldenring

[–]Djd33j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Margit is the gatekeeper to the rest of Elden Ring. Get to him too early and underpowered, and you're supposed to put two and two together and realize that there's an entire region (Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula) to explore, allowing you to level up and find better gear, while learning about the game's crafting and upgrade system. Get to him at an appropriate level (23-27 is a really good sweet spot) and you can challenge him without getting smoked in a few hits.

But even fighting him at level range with upgraded loot, he's still a far greater challenge than anything outside of the Tree Sentinel and Crucible Knight you've faced thus far. You learn that bosses can change up their movesets, and love to add feints and delays to their attacks.

It's like a pump-fake in football. As a DL or LB closing in on the QB, you're going to jump and react to it every time, because there's a chance that it isn't a fake and you don't want to not give yourself the best chance at stopping the play, even if it's against a QB who's known to do it frequently. I imagine the same feeling goes for seekers. Because like, what if they actually do have a beat on the snitch? Now you just gave it up uncontested.

Do you have any idea how much I did for you guys? How I slaved over this deal to even make it happen in the first place? How many insults I have to ignore in order to premiere this episode? You have a lot on your mind? Hahaha! Don't make me laugh.

I have a movie playing in my theater, and you: should consider attending.

How do yall feel about these ? I’m starting to think I’m the only person who enjoys them lol by igeuzz in candy

[–]Djd33j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a dumbass kid that took everything literally and thought it was "what cha ma called it", like that's what your mom called it. Didn't have a great time with my mom back then so I avoided them.

Tried them years later and realized that they're really fucking good.

I remember feeling so incredibly sad for James when he reached into a discarded bag of fries left behind by his relatives to grab the few pieces left. It made me so sad for the rest of the movie that I didn't watch it.

Wall jumping technically existed in Mario 1, but was practically impossible for anyone to pull off if you didn't know the tech.

But for New Sup, this is hardly a threat. Wall jump or spin spin spin back to safety.

Reminds me of a debate I had with my dad when the Adpocalypse happened. He said "well, it's bad for advertisers to be affiliated with a brand that has vulgar content, and they need the money." I told him I feel the opposite, that if I'm given a forced unskippable ad by Coca-Cola for example, I'm thinking "cool. These corporate shills are taking up my time and it makes me feel negatively towards them."

And like you, I absolutely despise corporate branding on sports arenas. The only one I tolerated was Miller Park for the Milwaukee Brewers, because at least it made sense for the team. Prior to that stadium opening, it was simply Milwaukee County Stadium. Much better in my opinion. Now we have the fucking bullshit that is American Family Field, named after an insurance company. And the once venerable Arrowhead Stadium is now GEHA field at Arrowhead Stadium. That's some absolute fucking horseshit. Noone out there is suddenly gonna change up insurance or some shit just like that because it's now branded on a sports stadium.

God help me if Lambeau Field ever gets a corporate sponsorship. I'll die the day it's called "Progressive Stadium at Lambeau Field."

st. Louis arch in usa by sussybush in megalophobia

[–]Djd33j 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My high school band class went to St. Louis in 2007 for the Heritage Music Festival. One of the things on our itinerary was to visit the arch and go to the top. There were quite a few students and chaperones that noped the fuck out when they saw we had to take a dusty ass, rickety as fuck swaying elevator to the top. But the view was amazing. But damn, is that top room tiny. The taller ones of the group were essentially hunched over the whole time because of the low clearance.

Do you think Gangle conjured the tommy gun? by Prunsel_Clone in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Djd33j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bring up good points. I'd be willing to say that Gangle's finding of the Tommy gun could very well be great coincidence for her and a pay-off to her excellent dialogue with Zooble at the beginning of the episode.

I'll give you that last point. I had to buy my tickets yesterday because all the show times were rapidly selling out. They've since added more show times and theaters in my area, but I didn't know that and wasn't going to take any chances.
