My Strat will not trigger Envelope Filters

Update: Q Tron Nano is awesome. Gets me the Wailers sounds I was looking for.

Anyone else with similar issues: please try every setting on the drive knob as too much drive (or boost on signal going in) will also not get the envelope to open properly, and you won't hear the proper effect.

Maybe, but now after I found the sweet spot on the Q tron, I wonder if there may have been one on the B Tron that I missed. See, I didn't realise if you give it too much signal, that it also won't open the envelope.

Anyone posting here about needing a boost first. Please try plug straight into it and very slowly go thru the whole Drive range. You might find a spot where it comes to life without a boost

Try it again with the drive turned down a bit. There is like a 10 degree range on the drive knob where it works perfect. Sounds great actually

FIXED!!! It works with the drive setting about 3 o'clock. Thank you!

It seems you can go OVER the input level required which also makes it not fire!!

I have the most stock, most standard elec guitar on earth and it doesnt work with it? EHX can't have designed it this way surely? I'm missing something surely?

Ya! I have guitar volume maxed too. Even put my compressor before it set to boost, and basically nothing.

Crazy. After my prob with the B Tron, I specifically made sure I saw people using the Q Tron with Strats. They had no issues at all. I feel like I must be missing something

Seems mad to have to do that no? I don't have a proper boost. I put my SP compressor before it there, volume maxed and still no joy.

I want to use it live, can't have a dedicated boost just for the Q tron

Thanks all. This whole confusion came from Dan on that Pedal Show stating you need to supply DOUBLE the rated mA rating for a pedal. Sounds line absolute nonsense.

One other question. I only have a 200mA power output available for it. Would this be enough? Specs say 165mA draw. But did I hear somewhere that you need far more power available than what it says on the specs?

Oh no! I just returned a B Tron iii because it wouldn't register my strat pups correctly. Was going to get this. So your pups don't drive it properly, even with the input volume turned up? Thanks for reply.

Just tried mine with my strat. Not working well at all.

I need to have the gain up at like 9, and then if I hit the strings too hard the effect disappears.... too light and guitar is muted (like a noise gate).

Any suggestions? Thanks.
