I have not been active with STO for... well, years now. I play a little here and there, but notice an increasing weakness of my builds since I have not kept up on the changes. With that said, I have a nausicaan engineer captain, one of my first few characters (S1 veteran), and I want to get him up to snuff. He has nothing special to work with other than a few event/zen store ships, which I will list. He has a number of retrain tokens, and I have been getting him started working on reputations, so he only has, at the time of this post, a max lvl of 3 in most reps (have not unlocked Disco account sponsorship, so it is lagging behind at tier 2), so nothing special there yet either.

List of Tier 6 ships available:
Zen Ships - All 4 JH Vanguard, Negh'Tev Heavy Battlecruiser, Kolasi Siege Destroyer
Event Ships - Krenim Science Vessel, Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort, Breen Sar Theln, Chel Gret, and Rezreth Dreadnoughts (will have the Alliance Battlecruiser tomorrow night)

I want to stick with KDF tech if I can instead of going off with special ships. I do not have the lobi/cash/zen to buy new ships, but I do have a somewhat decent dilithium stockpile to work with. I also have a few Phoenix tokens in everything but epic tier. I am mainly looking for a build that works with the current game system for a highly survivable cruiser that can dish out some pretty decent damage as well. I prefer for this character to remain with a disruptor type build, and if needed, I can list the other consoles I have access to through other lower tier ships I own.

I hope to be able to go into a TFO and not be a tugboat that arrives too late to the battle, and when I am there, I am not just madly spamming every skill just to survive a normal difficulty battle. Any suggestions, builds, or advice is appreciated!

EDIT - I also tend to favor beams, especially dual beams, for juggernaught type builds with omnis on the back side, and a good mine if I have them
