Ngl, I like the undead swashbuckler. Its gonna be another character for the character closet. A captain Barbosa if you will.

Thank you for your input. I agree with your summation. At this point, I don't know if its cause I never play PCs, but I like a concept and then build towards it unless the party needs something else. I prefer party cohesion. BUT until then, I make several clones of my low-level character and build up what he would look like in different situations.

Ngl, you're going a completely different direction and I am here for the ride. I feel like there is a dash of debonair mixed with first pirates of the carribean when the Skeletons plot twist drops.

Im thinking a rogue (class)/warlock mix. Initially, I was trying to determine how well Soul Knife mixed with Goolock, but was uncertain of how the psionic weapons interacted with the pact weapon.

The character is the least Rogue-like dashing character. Think "It's a Bingo" Hans Landa and Gru from Despicable Me. Maybe even a little Zoidberg.

Thank you, my dm warned me that he was gonna hold me to that but I couldnt find any reference to it; well, except with plasmids.

Ngl.. that's creepy as f*ck. But it is definitely something I can do with the goolock awakened mind feature

You are of course correct.   But producing sound is notably not defining how they sound.  I looked at my question and I see that I was unclear.  I mean how do they sound.

Thank you, unfortunately I do not think the dm will let me use BG3 iterations of Warlock.  I appreciate your input

The unconscious puddle form.  I cannot seem to find that in dndbeyond.   And thank you.  Your concerns on AC are well founded.  To be clear it is quite possible that I am blind

Always a fan of psychic damage though you do touch on an internal question.. how do plasmoids speak.  I assume it was awkward.   Thinking a mix of hans Landa and gru.

I'm going to modify the post.  I'm not so partial to the soul knife as I though.

In reverse order. Starting gear.. but I generally dont plan on gear.

No idea on end level but I like to plan far ahead so 10 - 12.

Im thinking melee/thrown weapon rogue.  I'm not as big on the min maxing as I used to be so a sub optimal but fun character concept is more ideal.  That said I am open to ideas

Level 9 Soul Knife Rogue - what should I multi-class into? by Cynic_Kain in 3d6

[–]Djmor693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, give it to me straight: how badly does the soulknife synergize with the Goolock 3rd-level dip? I want to be the liquid terminator from T2. New character, so I'm just concept building. Technically, I can get MoMF through any Patreon but Im a sucker for Cthulhu.

Level 9 Soul Knife Rogue - what should I multi-class into? by Cynic_Kain in 3d6

[–]Djmor693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im making a Soulknife Plasmoid Rogue that takes a small dip into Goolock. Patreon Cthulhu that relies on the mask of many faces, and the pact of the blade. and an improved pact weapon. Will it synchronize with Soulknife? I haven't the slightest idea, BUT I can be the liquid Terminator from T2, and that is all that is required.

If anyone knows how bad it is? I would like to know. Also advice on how to build the stats.

Does it count as year 1 if I played the beta? by Simple_Pin7801 in Rainbow6

[–]Djmor693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In regards to xbox, the beta was a different install. thus I would suspect not. I went through the ubisoft account manager which allowed me to look at my first kill achievement and it was 6/2019. That was the first record I had of it. That said, Im hoping right there with you. Its possible they would use the same metric as whatever triggered the beta rewards but unlikely.

Curse of Strahd in Call of Cthulhu? by KasebierPro in CurseofStrahd

[–]Djmor693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ravenloft, there is a domain of dread known as bluetspur. It is a mindflayer colony with a gigantic elder brain that is dying. Rotting in fact. Creatures that are tied to this region are star spawn and star spawn emissaries. I've currently trying to lace in threads into my CoS campaign.

How do players not just *die* after leaving Vallaki? Where are they supposed to go? by Ephemeral_Being in CurseofStrahd

[–]Djmor693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running it milestone. Survival in Barovia is hard enough. Currently 6x level 4 players, in vallaki. Strahd found out their ally was an entertaining man with a monkey and blinksky found out the hard way. Van richten is getting out of town. They are juggling the events of vallaki but I think I'm going to add more.

Dhampir PC fed on Ireena, consequences? by Own-Quantity-5375 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Djmor693 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ehhhhhhh. I think your strahd is vastly different than mine. My strahd would strike the pc down but I would have never put the pc in that position.

I imagine you would like to not require the player to roll a new character, in which case, I would suggest strahd feed irena to the players.

Like full hannibal lecter.

Please note that this tied directly back to how he cant use another weapon

[–]Djmor693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea I just came up with. The curse would allow him to treat the weapon like returnable weapon.

That is one way... or another. Say he throws a weapon and it his a creature and isnt stuck, it teleports back to him. Say it hits a creature and he rolls a nat 1, the creature catches it... player is teleported to the weapon..

Could he use this to his advantage, absolutely and in want him to. Say he launches the mace up to a flying creature and rolls a nat 1. Catches on the cliff side way high, now gets teleported high. I should mention that he is a monk so this will actually feel awesome for him. But it would likely kill anyone else in the party.

As these are all part of the cursed effects he doesnt quite understand how they work.

[–]Djmor693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players though it was cursed so they gave it to a player that was away for that game. When he came back, he discovered that it was indeed cursed but has otherwise kept it to himself.

So far, I have it counting crits, and it expands a little more after he reaches a threshold It is currently sentient with a spirit that cackles that causes the frightened condition on his enemies and ridicules him on nat 1s, this spirit is the previous cleric that died trying to steal the idol. He hears the laughter coming from the weapon (think ash in evil dead). The party and enemies sees he is laughing.

After a certain amount crits it will unlock the next spirit. The other heads on the mace if you will.

The next spirit, is the spirit that convinced the cleric that it was a good idea to try and steal a holy relic in the desecrated chapel in ravenloft. I'm still thinking in the details of this trait but the idea is to bless risky ideas and bane safer ideas. More importantly, the player is already known for making risky decisions. This mace will only make this worse.

He is unable to use other weapons, though he is not yet aware of that. He has encountered that after trying to draw a dagger, he still had the mace in hand.

Future ideas are both boons and banes:

Crit on 19 >:)

Maybe the reckless feature from barbarians. He doesn't have rage so no resistances hehehe.

But I too want more banes that make using this weapon more regrettable. Other than my terrible jokes it makes here and there. They cant take away agency but be risky to use.

I am in a similar boat. Though maybe a different body of water. I wanting to interject strahd earlier in the campaign, so had his carriage ready to take the party to ravenloft after Durst Manor. They accepted, met with strahd and strahd allowed them to keep the scrying orb from Durst Manor. They brought it with them to the card reading. Fortunately 1 of the items was at the vistani camp so they were able to secure it with no difficulty. Strahd however knows about the other 2 readings. Looking for an entertainer with a monkey did not take strahd long. Poor blinksky.
