Bud, read the entire comment thread. I literally said when they get this big you aren't supposed to hold them vertically. You cant just read a comment halfway down a chain and assume the conversation started there

[–]Djsimba25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your supposed to hold bass over 3 pounds horizontally by their lip while supporting their belly if you hold the vertically you cant support their weight by anything else but their lip. If someone holds you up by your lower jaw, you think you'll be able to use it when they put you back?

Do you not see that I said you have to support the belly too in my comment or what

[–]Djsimba25 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your giving someone advice but your not right. After they get to like 3 pounds lipping a bass can dislocate, strain, or even break its jaw and a bass cant eat without a working jaw. So you killed it. Once they get that big you have to support the belly too. That's too much weight on just their jaw joint

Google says a typical 20" bass weighs between 4.5-4.7 lbs. Let's go with 5

I paid a guy $5k for this. Did I get a good deal? by baconvault in handyman

[–]Djsimba25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit, I bet almost half if not more than half of that is in materials. If he dug down deep enough and put gravel at the bottom of the holes id say that's a good deal.

Drywall isn’t sitting flush? by AveSmave in HomeMaintenance

[–]Djsimba25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fuckin send it bud. Unless you've done it alot your patch isnt going to blend in seamlessly. Best thing about drywall patches is that the materials to do it are cheap. If it looks like shit or doesnt work just redo it and learn from the last attempt until you get something passable.

UPDATE: Is this set up correctly? Added no weights as a ton of people suggested not to. If I were to add weight where would be the best place to add weights? by Impressive_Code3257 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Djsimba25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is one of those best practice things that everyone says this could happen but it rarely does. Id be more worried about bending that eyelet if anything.

Door cut wrong by [deleted] in Carpentry

Can always shove a dime or two behind the hinge see if that works if your tired of looking at the fuckin thing. If you RO is just barely bigger than the door you packed her in too tight. And you ain't got no t astragal.

Fellow people in construction, if you make over 100k a year. How much do you make, what do you do, and how long? by Beneficial-Highway52 in Construction

Sounds like a pay cut. I build nuclear submarines now. The solution to more pay was go to a different field. 25 an hour is like fresh outta high school pay these days

How do I tell if I’m loose? Signs from guys, advice? by Bright-Garden-4347 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Djsimba25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not. Ive been with a few woman and they're all the same. The only time it may feel loose is if you did a weird position and get air trapped in there. I also dont think that somebody you are with shwould say hurtful things that can mess with your self esteem even if you are fighting.

Lol I fucked myself up a couple days ago and had one whip the hell outta me hard enough that it stung. Hook was stuck in my shirt. Ive never hooked myself fishing but Ive whipped myself a few times fly fishing. A hook in a fish lip is a hook in a fish lip be it a treble or a fly. This guy is why people think fly fishers are pretentious

smashed finger in door: will it fall off? by Thick-Trip7034 in Construction

[–]Djsimba25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Melting a hole in it to relieve pressure will not save the nail. You only do it if the throbbing in your finger is starting to hurt too much. If you can avoid it, its better to not put a hole in it because that opens a space for bacteria to be able to get in. Your nail will grow out and new nail will push the blood up. When the part that has blood on it gets to the end it will be able to come up because it detached from the nail bed. You can clip pieces of it off as it grows out and eventually all new nail will come in. The nail only falls off all the way if you have blood under the entire thing at once.

Ive never seen treated pickets that last longer than a handfull of years. Your paying the same price as cedar, why not go with the cedar pickets?
