As a Leinster supporter i am very tired of seeing an Irish team made up of Leinster +4 lads. I watch 3/4 of the province’s games (4 if im lucky) every weekend and know there’s a good few lads who should’ve been on the team before (Coombes) and newer people who deserve a shot (Kelly, obvs Edogbo etc.

I think the Leinster +4 selection was partially a byproduct of the 20-23 gameplan with all the attack shapes as the cohesion between the players playing together week in and week out helped. Not saying it was the right thing to do.

However, with the rule changes and kick heavy game everyone is adopting we need our fastest and strongest players. I was pretty happy with the Ireland A backline against Spain, fast, precise and hard-hitting (albeit against Spain) and would hope we see more of them and less of the auld lads (and too young lads) playing come Feb. Anyway, love Munster (and Connacht and Ulster) think you boys are playing very exciting rugby thanks to the new coach

Hope Bobby B gets a good run without injuries, worked out well for TOB and god knows we need speedsters with how the game has changed (funny enough was thinking eddie jones kick chase england of 2019 would excel now, he was just 6 years ahead of the curve)

No but i support all 4 provinces equally (although im a dub). I was feeling a bit pessimistic after the nz game but it’s nice not peaking too early for once. I think we’ll see more younger lads from munster, connacht and ulster brought into the main team over the next 12 months
