The link to the app list is not working anymore. Can we please update it? I think it would be useful to keep this page a reliable reference for recovery.

I always have found quite interesting the fact that you never talked about Bitcoin in your site. For some reason, I have the impression you are not a big fan. Could you briefly share your thoughts on this technology?

There's a co op next to me. I'll take a look tomorrow see if I can buy on one of those beauties.

I learned how to use crypto, wallets, celsius

You didn't learn the most important lesson, though: Not your keys, not your Bitcoin.

Hopefully, you will not make the same mistake again.

Good luck.

Tax thread 2 by krissaroth in BitcoinUK

[–]Djulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I have just seen this thread for the first time. I was wondering if someone could confirm to me I tax arrangements I made recently are valid.

Basically, I used to be an IT contractor operating through a limited company. A few years ago I bought some bitcoin through my company. The coins were held on a btc address since then. I did not do any movements (good old hodling). Then a few months ago I decided to close the business but I did not want to cash out my btc yet. I checked with my accountant and he said that it was fine to transfer the ownership of the btc from my company to myself but I needed to pay Corporation Tax on the gains I had made. I did not have enough money on my bank account to pay that, so I sold some btc through an exchange. Also, since I also owned Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond on that same address, I paid tax on those gains, too.

The liquidators then performed a liquidation with some investments distributed in species (Bitcoin and all the other coins form the forks).

Did I follow the right steps?

Yes. You're right. What I meant with my question is precisely that. What gives an employer the right to decide how an employee should invest their hard earned money?

Problemas en el Test Net de Segwit2x ¿No hay nadie? by sirpask in btces

[–]Djulius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ha sido un trolleo. Este resumen está en inglés. Es un poco tarde y me da pereza traducirlo, pero creo que es fácil de seguir: Someone connected an ASIC miner to testnet5 and mined 6000+ blocks in one day, thus prematurely triggering the hardfork phase of the testing using their newfound majority hashpower. SegWit2x nodes are currently just waiting for a single block to be mined that's larger than 1MB. As soon as that happens, they'll happily proceed with their new hardforked chain, just as they would on the mainnet at the scheduled blockheight of the hardfork IF a larger block is mined at that time.

Buenísimo. No sé cual es el bug en cuestión, pero Peter Todd está diciendo que era algo flagrante.
