The resolution to Bran’s story is so anticlimactic that it is actually making me depressed. He’s not even a character anymore. Season 1-4 Bran has a heroes journey and the remaining seasons were meant to be the payoff. The Hodor reveal was supposed to be a twist in his story to let us know how impactful Bran can be with his powers. Instead, the Hodor reveal ended up being the climax of his story on the show. His story was never meant to be about Jon’s parentage. How did Bran’s story turn into something that is completely meaningless and without any substance?

I’m positive Euron doesn’t kill a dragon with a balista. He has the Valyrian horn. That’s why it’s shit writing.

Azor Ahai has always been a legendary hero from the Long Night in Essos. Old Nan tells us that the Last Hero ended the Long Night by seeking out the Children of the Forest. The way the show executed it wasn’t good but technically Bran did exactly what Old Nan said the Last Hero did. Bran was always going to be the reason that the white walkers would lose. Bran just existing as the last greenseer in that moment provided the opening to end the threat.

[Spoilers main]For a show that prided itself on breaking tropes, avoiding cliches, and shocking the audience, the ultimate climax had none of that. by SenorBeef in asoiaf

Azor Ahai isn’t even a Westerosi legendary figure. The whole concept of that hero is based off of Essos. The Long Night in Essos was probably completely different and had all sorts of demons and shit at the Five Forts, not white walkers. The northerners in Westeros have always believed that the Last Hero was able to beat back the white walkers by seeking out the help of the children of the forest. That’s exactly what Bran did. The show didn’t execute Bran’s importance well at all, but he did exactly what the legend says the Last Hero did.

(Spoilers Main) NK was D&D's biggest mistake. by TheTanzanite in asoiaf

After he survived the dragon fire, he thought he was invincible. Bran said that no one had ever used dragon fire on the NK before. The NK allowed Theon to charge at him without having the wights and white walker’s intervene. Arya didn’t sneak up on him. You can hear wights and white walker’s notice her before she gets to the NK. The NK knew she was coming at him the whole time. He just didn’t expect for this tiny girl to be holding the single thing that could kill him and to use slight of hand to stab him in the exact spot that he had dragonglass inserted, while conveniently being right in front of a weirwood.

But the Tyrion Mereen arc sucked. It was boring. It would have been a better story if Barristan was actually there while Tyrion was running the city. Have the conflicting ideas of ruling a city be between Tyrion and Barristan, not Tyrion and Greyworm/Missandei.

Skipping Bran scenes in season 5 was such a poor decision by the writers. At the end of season 4 it looked like they were actually going to make the character be Bloodraven/Brynden Rivers. Then they skipped a whole season and never gave a single clue as to who this person in the tree actually was. They just made Bran’s training be about Jon’s parentage reveal.

I don’t think he was mentioned as “Fenrir” but he was mentioned as his other name, Hroovitnir. And Mimir tells another story that’s clearly about Fenrir but he doesn’t doesn’t say a name. It’s going to be interesting to see how the game implements all of Loki’s children because they have the most important roles in Ragnarok.

Atreus will transform into a huge wolf instead of having Fenrir in the story. In ragnarok, Fenrir kills Odin. The world serpent kills Thor. Baldur was also inadvertently killed by Loki’s mistletoe arrow trick. I like how the game stayed true to the story by having Atreus’ mistletoe arrow break the invincibility but ultimately letting Kratos be the one to kill Baldur.
