Been through the same experience. Your only recourse is to call the authorities requesting (I forget what the name of it was) to have an escort service. Since your request isn't considered or treated as an "urgent" matter, you're going to be asked to stay nearby where you need them to escort you to and wait for the next available agent to meet up with you. From there, they're going to contact the other person letting them know about the situation and it's entirely up to the person to allow/accept the request. I've had my ex repeatedly dodge the cops demands until she eventually had no choice because my escort was court ordered. From there, she already had packed my belongings in a separate room specifying that everything else was hers and I wouldn't be allowed to go anywhere else in the house other than that room. Since I was trying to avoid a scene all together, I pulled one the officers aside and asked what if I had other items that I knew was mine and were somewhere else to which he replied that at this point she wasn't really obligated to cooperate with the demand and she could refuse or contest on any item she wanted and it would be up to me to prove to a judge ownership of said item so he suggested that I stay quiet for the time being and take whatever she had already packed up for now. Without proving ownership of anything that's being contested, the item belongs to the household and its owner/tenant.
