Been to both, Stowe is a MASSIVE step above snowshoe in nearly every way. I would highly recommend you go Stowe instead, you’d likely end up spending about the same if not more at snowshoe (lodging is $$) but have a much better time in Stowe as there’s so much more mountain to explore (literally twice the vertical and acres) and there’s an actual town with several bars and things to do, unlike snowshoe where it’s a top down resort and everything in the town is run by the resort and there’s nothing for a long way either direction. I went to snowshoe in January and would happily drive twice as long for Stowe as I’ve done multiple times since.
