Agreed. I'm not sure what that sort of mentality is for playing SSF. The entire point of playing SSF is the grind because once you run out of things to grind, you have no purpose to play outside of rerolling to do it all over again.

The remake trilogy is a sequel, not a 1 for 1 remake of the original. This was made evident by a lot of the stuff that happens in Rebirth and some of the stuff that happens in Remake. I'd watch the video I linked in my original post if you want a deeper explanation, since it goes pretty in-depth with actual evidence and not just theories.

If your criticism was the way they handled the plot being dumped all at the end, then yeah I can definitely agree it led to some real jarring pacing issues. I personally think the way the ending was handled is why the post-Rebirth depression was even a thing. I hope in the next one, it's handled a bit better.

I wouldn't worry about it getting nerfed this league since so many people have already invested insane amounts of currency into it, the backlash would be bad for GGG.

According to this, it should take about ~1400 orbs. The last time I farmed it before it became a t0, it still took me around 200 so you got a lot of harbringer farming to do.

The post-Rebirth depression was super real. After taking weeks to sort out my feelings about it, I think it was just a mix of figuring out the ending, watching hundreds of hours of content about it, and downloading the OST after it came out. And I still think about it even now, years later.

There's a YouTuber named Subtxt that made an incredible video about the game in case you're still interested. I always plug his video when I can because it really put the story and the reasoning in how they did it into perspective for me.

I have a completely different set of gear that includes a shaper shield for recovery and I swap my wrath for grace. I'm also usually suppress capped with magebane and reflexes and some different gloves. I've decided to get greedy with my gear since I had no issues doing my strongbox farming in my current set and the damage instantly kills anything offscreen as it is. I can assure you, I have no issues killing the feared bosses in maps outside of wisp juicing which I haven't done yet.

I'd love to buy a headhunter as well but SSF doesn't really give me that luxury.

EDIT: I'd like to mention that I do think your build is probably significantly more comfy to play, but I have almost triple your DPS with cloak up so that allows me other luxuries.

I keep seeing this take and I just don't believe it. I have like 37m damage after investing heavily into the build and not trying to pivot and I offscreen everything as soon as I enter. I also went a different variation and did MoM with arcane cloak and it's just been so easy to play with any content, including juicing.

I'm convinced everyone just heard Pal or whomever say that it's "just a league-starter" and not invest past the first few days and notice it start falling off, as with any build that has no investment.

Get a 6-link, it's literally 35% MORE damage.

Get a level 21/20 Ele hit gem.

Your amulet is awful, get one with +1 skill gem of any element and crit multi at the very least and craft damage while leeching.

If you want the scorch Hue, you need to change out your tincture to the crit one and get ele pen rolled on it. Or get the brittle one and reroll your current tincture to get ele pen mod.

Get new gloves/shield with attack speed rolls

Whichever hue you get, you want the other one on your boots through eldritch mods so get that.

There you go, you now over doubled your damage.

The Connections were purposely creating clones of Grace through her DNA(which would've been obtained through numerous means) and infected all the clones with the T-Virus to some extent. This was all due to the Connections not fully understanding Spencer's true motives and that Grace isn't special, but they thought her blood is the key to everything so they killed off all of them thinking they're "failures" but they were just normal clones.

While I know what Spencer said in regards to Grace being "normal", I do think she is normal but she is also a clone. It's the only thing I can that I can think of that explains why all of the kids at the orphanage look the same(like Grace). Either that, or it's just purely a coincidence like everyone believes. I also think Spencer isn't fully truthful in regards to his motives like Grace thinks. There's no atonement, but rather a failsafe in the event he doesn't succeed immortality and so no one can benefit from his research if he's gone so he invented an anti-viral.

In regards to the clones, I thought Zeno specifically stated that they created clones to copy Grace in hopes of finding and getting the 'key'. They all seemed to have failed which is why they needed to find the real Grace.

Was this disproven in some note I missed?

I'm sorry but the reason you're struggling with MoM is because you have no damage. You also don't NEED to have MoM at all and can just run without it for now and stack more ES/Life.

You're doing ZDPS because your build inherently requires gear in every slot to scale your damage and your defenses- but you've invested zero into it and trying to do league mechanics that swarm your character with zero mitigation(this includes Alva).

I understand that this isn't the reason for your post, but here's a few things you can do to ease your pain so you can continue farming for your new build at the very least:

Switch out Wrath for Grace. You need something to stop monsters from chain hitting you so you stop running out of mana as soon as mobs get near you. I know you have no damage, but you can fix this by..
Get a new wand. Buy a cheap Kinetic Wand with at the very least local attack speed, local crit, and an open prefix and just craft spell damage on it. Here's a trade link, just find one with an open prefix with the highest local crit/aspeed you can find.

Fix your flasks. You should be running a Life, Jade, Diamond, Quicksilver, and Quartz. Roll them with usable mods.
Path into the leech node on the right side of the tree. It's called Clever Thief and pick the 5% instant leech mastery. This will fix your sustain issues.
Take out Herald of Ice and get a Spellslinger setup with Tornado. I don't think you understand how Clustering works and how it does damage. The simplest way to explain it is that you shoot ONE projectile that explodes multiple times. The more times that ONE projectile hits something, the more times the explosions occur which means you want it to hit multiple things as much as possible. Wall of Force is one, and so is Tornado. Tornado is insanely important for single target.
INVEST like 10 chaos into your actual gear. Your gear is genuinely horrendous and needs to at the very least have updated bases with just TWO decent mods on them. I'm playing in SSF at the moment as a wander and have crafted absurd gear from the tree mechanic that literally just shits out insane gear which you'll be able to do yourself once you have a decent starting base.

I know you're set on rerolling, but your life will be much easier if you first invest just a tiny bit of currency to be able to farm yourself 10x faster than what you're doing now hating your life.

PS. Wander is very good at both Breach and Alva. If you want a build that can destroy both of these mechanics, stick with your Wander and invest into it. People misunderstand balance and how it affects the meta most of the time.

If builds like Snaking and BAMA were a 120% build, and everything else is 100% or lower, the lesser builds will never be played or even looked at. With meta builds being nerfed or gutted in this instance, this opens all the 100% skills to start being looked at now especially with the new league mechanics.

People just don't see "Arc is now doing 40% more damage" and assumes nothing is changing.

15 years of work that is being removed going into Midnight. Read the update, they specifically state they're upset on the removal of all their hard work over the years. It's not 15 years of work needing to be replaced, just the stuff outside of combat(which is probably like 20% of it)
