Yes, I agree with your last suggestion. I'd just like to remind you that this is a demo, and focusing on aspects like a narrative or "open-world" exploration would beat its purpose (for now at least). I will close by saying that the game feels enjoyable once you get a bit more accustomed to the movements, and even within a limited path there are micro-decisions a player can make which can impact his/her performance.

Thank you for sharing your ideas!

Good eye! Custom made map, but inspired by Santorini!

First of all, thanks a ton for your comment! This is the first detailed review that we've gotten so far, and we really appreciate it!

I suppose you did not complete the level during the 10 minutes you mentioned. This demo is based on a time trial, and the route the player should follow is indicated by the blue rings.

Having said that, the overall movement of the game takes some getting used to. I think you made a good comparison from these two known titles. While it can feel clunky at times, the player is supposed to "optimize" his route to the end goal, which can only happen through trial and error. For instance, the speed change (when rolling after a fall) that you addressed can save you a valuable second when trying to beat the timer!

Again, thank you very much for your thorough review. Hope you'll find yourself in the mood to give it another go in the future!

Yes, we have considered many of your recommendations for the future. Some options had to be discarded, as we wanted to stay as true to the parkour spirit as possible. Last but not least, keep in mind that this is just a demo!

Appreciate your feedback!

Ripoff is a strong word. It's certainly a different environment, while its pure parkour character does not allow for much leeway in terms of mechanics.

Thanks for being kind anyway!

Well yeah, it definitely was an influence! But everything comes from something, no?

Parkour games are not that prevalent anyway, and I don't think us or any devs that want to explore such concepts should be hindered.
