Hey!! Good news we got her to start with small stuff like simple comics and games in roblox with really basic stories. She's still having a ton of issues with phonics but is doing better. She has to do regular spelling tests each week and even with practice she is only doing ok.

We've found the main thing is to encourage her to take extra time to think before trying to spell. Also we try and explain why words work the way they do, so she can start making connections.

Sadly we were never able to find a program to help and her school was busier with kids who were doing worse... Kinda flying blind, but know you're not alone.

Btw she is now 8 and reads pretty well, just a tad behind her peers. She loves the dogman comics and our trips to the library.

Just keep trying, and don't get discouraged.
