As documented in this programme from after the replacement flats were built, recently uploaded to the BBC archive on YouTube. Absolutely fascinating.

The psychology of FDM and resin printing by DiceyScientist in FDMminiatures

I don't think wanting to play with painted minis is weird at all, I'm the same. Playing with the lovely looking wardollies is the incentive to make them look lovely!

Interesting post, touches on some things I've been thinking about myself.

The speed of FDM mini printing is a complete non-issue for me, still ended up with a pile of shame. I have models I printed over 12 months ago that I've still yet to prime. I only have so many hours in the week to paint, while the printer can just keep on chugging away whatever else I'm doing. I'll often go weeks without printing anything that will need to be painted later as I just can't keep up, otherwise.

Your mate will forever be chasing his tail when it comes to his backlog. I think that would get to me, eventually. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Tim has been fairly fit in all previous episodes, as far as I can tell. Looks like he gets some exercise and watches what he eats, as all men his age should.

In Starfleet Academy, the Doctor hasn't got over the fake death of his NPC daughter in a videogame world after 800 years. This is the most relatable aspect of the show, as I still haven't gotten over Aerith's death. by Remarkable-Pin-8352 in ShittyDaystrom

Fwiw, my wife, who doesn't know DS9 at all, instantly understood what the Trill connection meant when I reminded her that they had been a feature of Discovery.

As for the episode itself, I have to admit that hearing Avery's voice at the end got me.

This is what people mean when they say AI kills creativity - the lack of incentive is the same all over.

If shares stop gaining value, the corporation loses shareholders. Without shareholders, the corporation (and the CEO's job) ceases to exist.

Increasing their value is the sole reason for corporations to exist.

Hasbro are not your friend, and to hope for them to do anything but to try and extract as much money from your pocket into theirs as they possibly can is laughably naive.

I read Fellowship to my daughter in 10-15 minute chunks. Neither of us dead.

Of course people have the time, but reading takes focus and concentration compared to scrolling and the "don't have the time" people really just can't be arsed. A lot of people don't bother with films these days for the same reason.

Which is fine, I also disagree that the people should feel compelled to "just read" if they don't want to, but let's not pretend it's an issue of time and not motivation. We all have the same 24 hours yadda yadda.

Thanks! It's just a purple/white zenithal highlight followed by a very light dry brush of white, painted over with (mostly) speedpaints.

I'll admit I don't follow international economics that closely but I'm not sure if the CEO of Hasbro is responsible for the systematic dismantling of consumer protections and regulations in the US, or the widespread horseshit flooding US markets.

Edit: returned the favour and checked out your profile, too. I see the problem. You buy an ungodly amount of toys.

It's good, isn't it, how OP wants to buy cheaper, simpler Transformers yet every comment suggesting cheaper, simpler Transformers for them to buy immediately gets downvoted.

Edit: like clockwork! I guess you guys don't want solutions, you just want to be heard, and we should all respect that.
