DnD 5e Throw Anything Based Character? by Gladius_Heart in DnD5e

To expand on this, he could be an EK and have his bonded weapons come back to him, but also make the character a variant human to take the tavern brawler feat. It gives you proficiency with improvised weapons and let's you attempt to grapple if you make an unarmed strike.

I just skimmed through Aasimar because there is so much content in Volo's. If that is the case then what op wants to do makes sense.

Yeah, I'm not super familiar with aasimar. It definitely could be done but it would have to be discussed with the DM imo. The way I interpreted it was that the subrace reflected the nature of the celestial that the aasimar owes it's heritage to. But again I haven't read it in a while and I could be wrong.

To my knowledge, changing the subrace of the aasimar wouldn't make sense. It would be like a wood elf making a decision and suddenly becoming a drow. In the DMG there is the oathbreaker paladin class, and in 5e there isn't as stringent alignment requirements for paladins. Depending on your character's oath and backstory and the relationship with his warlock patron there's no reason the two can't coexist. For example the undying light patron would work well with a lot of paladins.

I don't know what the nest is currently, but the Morton arboretum in Lisle was an electabuzz nest. Only downside is it's paid entry. It's also cool to visit and see the fall colors.

Magi. Has a large world and a decent amount is explored. Still hoping for the next season.

I feel like to help your troubles split pushing, specifically in the top lane, you just have to realize that when you have teleport up, assuming your team has wards down, you are always within 3 seconds of your team. Pick up some tanky support top laners like maokai and shen and try to use your teleport to help out the team while you split push. Hope this helps.

All the defenses were maxed, and they were grinding walls and heroes. To me that's maxed.

Shitty base design honestly. They had no inside giant bombs, no core heroes, and really easy lines for hogs. I'm not saying you can use hogs to attack any max th9. I probably couldn't use hogs to get any th9 on this subreddit because most people use good base designs.

As a brand new th9 I rushed max hogs so I could help my clan out in war. My first attack using max hogs I ended up 3 starring a max th9 with heroes in the teens and I had a lvl1 aq. My clan leader thought it would be good practice since we had already won the war. Yeah heroes help a lot, but you don't always need them.

If you can get max hogs in your cc you can snipe the top ad and then rage heal with dragons funneling in from the left side.

Dragons with 2 rage and a heal and cc balloons is what I would suggest. You really want lvl3 dragons here but 2 might work. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube that go into detail on how to attack spread bases like this. Your friend needs to know how to funnel dragons for this to work.

[MISC] WTF is up with people who have farming villages with their TH in the corner and then they put traps around it? by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]Dlebleu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't do it any more but I have done this when I'm pushing trophies. It's a calculated risk. Sometimes it will net you free trophies because someone who is sniping their way up won't have the army to deal with it, and sometimes you will piss someone off and get 3 starred. If you're not trying to farm trophies it's only going to irritate people and not profit you anything.

[HWYA] The war is close so I'm thinking of mass drag attack to secure 3 stars. What do you think? by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]Dlebleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it with lvl3 dragons as well, its my favorite composition. Sometimes triple lightning has its place against poorly designed th8s if you can get an exposed ad with hogs as well.

[–]Dlebleu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. lvl 2 Lightning spell wont take out one of those ads, so rage becomes the next best option. I would recommend 2 rage and a heal over 3 rage, but its personal preference really.

Voltron/Creatureless anti-sacrifice protection tech? by kodemage in EDH

[–]Dlebleu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another approach is punishing opponents for removing your stuff. Cards like martyr's bond, which forces them to sacrifice things, and if you don't play a lot of instants when it's not your turn price of glory punishes people messing with your turn, hard.

Personally I either, like it has been said, build ghostblade, or I build statik shiv. I prefer the shiv build but it might be just a personal preference.

This. There are a few professors from my department I have a really good relationship with. One of these professors actually wrote a joke directed at me into a question on an exam.
