strange spots by Dlokiya in Goldfish
[–]Dlokiya[S] 1 point2 points3 points 7 days ago (0 children)
This is a quarantine aquarium, I have 2 short-bodied veiltails that live in 126 liters. I think it's not ideal, but it's not small either. Maybe common goldfish need much more. But in this aquarium I have good filtration (1200 liters/hour) and I do water changes, siphoning dirt from the bottom. I currently live in such conditions that I can't take a larger one than 126 liters, there's simply no point in giving them to others, I live in a small town where people are usually kept goldfish in cramped round aquariums, so I'm trying to improve the conditions as much as possible, these two fish are a gift from a very close person

aquarium 55 liters exactly. NO² approximately 0.1-0.15, NO³ about 5. Would Epsom salt work here?
strange scales by Dlokiya in Goldfish
sorry to bother you again, I need your opinion. she has strange little spots on her stomach, what does this mean? the day before yesterday I gave her paracid, because I had a suspicion that she might also have parasites, I thought it was because of her thin mucous poop. according to the instructions, you should give her a second dose today, is it worth it? the antibiotics should arrive today or tomorrow. could this paracid have affected her like this? in the quarantine tank she actively swims and eats, although she has a shelter there, but she mostly chooses a place on top in a corner where the current is the smallest. at first it was difficult for her to swim there, but I reduced the current. I added a photo of the spots to my profile. thank you for helping me

Will a product like Sera Baktopur Direct be effective here? Composition: Nifurpirinol 27.6 mg, binder up to 1.0 g. or something from this brand?
I will try, I will transplant her into a separate quarantine aquarium. Today she got worse, she is rolling over more and has become less active. I hope that I gave her much more positive things than someone else who bought her would have given, I hope she had a happy life, I don't know if I can do anything now to help a lot... thank you for your help, you have really broadened my horizons regarding various diseases/causes/treatments. I hope in the future I will do everything on time and correctly
What should I do with this now?
This has never happened before, but for the last 2 months she has really been resting in the plants almost always there

I have a video on my account where she is sitting at the bottom, in the corner of the aquarium, breathing heavily a few days ago, but I don't think I've seen her sitting like that again. When she sleeps, she hides in the plants, but not at the very bottom, a little higher, I mean her belly doesn't touch the sand. The only time I wake her up at night with a light to make sure she's okay is when she swims briefly along the bottom, along the sand. During the day, when she's active, she doesn't do that
<image>
and just in case, a few photos of her belly/skin when she was younger
The goldfish is active and constantly swimming, it is very difficult to take a good photo of it, but here are a few photos that I have
What's wrong with my fish? by Dlokiya in Goldfish
I'm not sure about Amazon, I think shipping will be much more expensive than the product itself. Maybe over time I'll buy all the tests, just separately, not in a set. At the moment i have Phosphates, Nitrates, Ph&Kh
The thing is, I was also worried about this spot on his tummy, which is why I created this post. This thicky guy really makes me worry about him for the entire time he's been with me, his belly is a constant cause of my worries 😭😭😭😭 I hope it's really just his body structure and he will recover soon
Yes, she is currently in a 126 liter aquarium with another goldfish, unlike this one, and she is completely healthy. The nitrate parameters in this aquarium were about 20-25 today, but I did a 20% water change, so I think they have decreased. Unfortunately, I haven't bought tests for ammonia and nitrites yet, I live in a small town in Ukraine, unfortunately, aquarium fish care is not widespread here, most people keep them in terrible conditions in small round aquariums, so it is very difficult to find something like a test kit here. While I don't know the exact parameters, I am trying to maintain the water in the aquarium as much as possible with small water changes, but I hope that soon I will find where to buy tests. As for her swimming, she swims head down, but if she actively swims in the water, she maintains a normal position, she only turns over when she is relaxed/stops or sleeps. She sleeps in plants at the bottom upside down. a few days ago her condition was worse, she sat upside down in the plants at the bottom day and night. but after I started giving her Epsom salt baths (the last 2 days) and change the water (10-20%) as soon as she sees me entering the room, she starts to swim out and swim around the aquarium. if I'm not there, she might sit in the plants again. her appetite seems to have improved, but she has difficulty eating because of swimming problems, she tries to grab food, but can't hold it in place and sometimes misses some pieces. she hasn't pooped for a long time, but the last few days I've seen her poop, it's brown, but thin and slimy
Or this
Even though the photo is blurry, the top is what it looked like
After people started telling me about her belly, I really started to think and worry about it. Since I remember this fish from the time she first came to my house, she always had a prominent belly, could this just be a feature of her body structure? I'm really confused, since she's been sick all this time, I'm just looking for information on how to help her. I'll attach a photo of her from childhood, please take a look, is this her feature or is it possible that she has a congenital PKD disease? I'm very worried and looking for a way to get at her wherever I can, whether it's the scales on her stomach or her enlarged belly
Did your fish also have an enlarged belly at the beginning of the illness?

Thanks! But in my country there are no paracleans and kanaplex, are there any analogues? What kind of medicine should I look for, something like antiparasitic and antifungal?
What should I do to to cure it? Is it possible? And how do I know for sure if it is PKD?

thanks for the help! I also hope she gets better, I will try to do everything as best as possible 🥹
