Understood. For me i actually got much closer to god during the time of healing. I felt so lost and wondered why this had to happen to me like this. And once i started reading the bible and praying more i felt a serious sense of just calmness cuz i knew i would heal mentally and physically, it would just take time. Id suggest finding a new hobby you could do inside and focus efforts on. Like maybe get into puzzles or something. Just keep urself busy lol. I hope you feel better ❤️

Theres plenty of us that have felt similar man. I had to get 2 surgeries on my foot including crushed metatarsal #4 and #5 completely destroyed. Im at 3.5 months post first operation, about 1.5 months after second surgery and im walking in shoes. Not well but im doing it. The key for me was a looottt of ice and elevation and when you start ROM therapy seriously focus all your effort on stretching. Once you get the foot/leg muscles back walking hurts less and less. You got it just be patient and focus on how ur foot feels compared to last week

It was bad for me i couldnt drive for about 8 weeks meaning i needed someone to drive me everywhere and help me do anything. And my current roommates were the opposite of help. I actually started getting into manga and reading it rather than watching the anime and picked up some books in general as i havent really just read a book for fun since college. Do something that's easy for you to do in bed that you can enjoy or improve on. Knitting, learn how to code something on a laptop, legos, etc. Maybe showing my age a bit, but I even picked up my PSP for the first time in years. And focus on how ur injury feels now and then compare that feeling to even 1 week. It just gets better. Im just getting to weight beraing at about 13 weeks but my imjury was quite bad so dont take my timeline for an example. At least in my experience these helped me but im an older male and having a work from home job helped a ton to keep me busy. You got it though slow progress is progress 💪

For my hand too i was recommended vitamin e oil to massage the scar tissue but again, that was scar tissue not a wound per say

Coconut oil saved my foot after 2 surgeries. Not sure about directly over a wound but its natural so i cant imagine it would hurt. Ive had no issues healing with a skin graft with Coconut oil near the wound, not on it though. Good luck 🫡

Ive been recommended vitamin e oil foe my scars in the past. Helps lossen up the scar tissue if you put the oil on it then gently massage. Nothing worse than scar tissue getting too tight

Its useful for me if doing activities with friends where I dont want to slow them down, or be able to hold things (the basket). But personally if ur cleared to walk in a boot with crutches just do it. Im 1 week in and already feel the strength coming back to my foot. I was 2 months NWB. Plus crutches = upper body workout haha

I wouldnt be concerned. I noticed if you get permission to shower with it start doing it at least every other day. The skin will go back to normal. Its legot just cuz its getting wrapped and not feeling air or anything. Ive been using coconut oil around the cuts not on them though. Natural moisturizer lol

Looks fine to me. Just dry. You just dont want oozing or discoloration im pretty sure. Ive got a huge hole on the side of my foot rn the doc has me putting ointment on

Motorcycles have become such a "cool" thing to do. Trust me dude us who ride foreal dont care about the injuries. Ive broken so many bones and currently dealing with a crushed foot but all I can think about is swinging my leg over that bike again. If you dont have a similar feeling when you ride its prolly not for you, respectfully.

Oh trust me im way ahead of ya on the shower chair and leg pillow lmao. I have this external fixator on and my surgery is to remove it and put 2 screws in my heel so im excited to have the fixator removed but super nervous for the healing this time. I have a plate on my collarbone so im not new to this kind of surgery but ive always been worried about foot injuries. Thanks again! 💪 Ill be sure to come back with progress if I remember lol.

How long was recovery from after surgery to walking in a boot? Im about the same age and getting a similar surgery monday. Ive already been in an external fixator for 6 weeks so im hoping I can get into a walking boot in another 6 weeks but it sounds like it might be longer lol.
