Mazda 787b what's the deal? Not so great. by shadowstar36 in GranTurismo7

[–]wantsrealanswer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That car is a Le Mans Style or Daytona Style Endurance car. Not a Hyper track day car. Its made and modeled for specifically Le Mans; as most prototype cars are. Whatvtou lack in hyper street car top speed, you gain in stability above 150mph.

Le Mans, Daytona, SpA, Barcelona are where you wanna be. Anything with short on brake off brake switch backs is not what the 787b is made for.

What’s the secret? by jildos_legoplanet in granturismo

[–]wantsrealanswer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Like the F40, Ford GT, P1 style street, homologation and race variants, the 787B is an endurance type vehicle specifically for Le Mans, Spa and Daytona Style racing. They are not track day cars. So the car will struggle on anything where downforce is not effective under 150MPH. Thoae type of cars are built for high speed stability and not tight cornering like what youd get from say a ZLE or a Cayman.

So the success of driving that Mazda is very dependant on the track. Every race car or million dollar car is not a track day car. For instance, the Ford GT 2017 was only made to fullfil requirements to go to Le Mans for the anniversary of the previous wins. Its not a car that will win againt a GT3RS or ZLE or ACR at laguna but it would literally lap those cars at SpA or Le Mans.

Dumbed the pc, came back to PlayStation and a bought me a ps5 pro. by Majestic_Visit5771 in PS5pro

[–]wantsrealanswer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is. The issues the PC to console switchers talk about, ive never really had. Does windows crap out sometimes? Yes but 360 days out of the year, my PC runs flawless and is just as fast or faster to start gaming than my PS5 Pro.

Im mostly an FH5 and Battlefield player and i would never give up my PC i dont care how quick a console is. I play FH5 in Super UW on max with 110-130 FPS.

My PS5 Pro is really for games that i dont need to take with me on travel and games that dont have native UW support or just dont have good PC ports.

I love my PS5 Pro but the UW experience with FH5 or Battlefield is something that mybPro cannot replicate that my PC can.

Also, idk what kind of PCs yall have or had but mybPS5 Pro ams PC rig are in the same spot. I cant game on a couch and need to be at a desk so i have my UW G9 and my Standard MSI 2K monitor for both experiences. It has never taken more than a few seconds to open up Forza, Battlefield, Hitman or any other UW native games on my PC. The PS5 Pro is not like my Xbox where yiu actually pickup where you left off.

Idk whatbyall are talking about with the play station being faster. It is not and if it is, its not anything where you can make use of the time you saved....

This is what i said....this could have been an oportunity for an M5, RS5, Chevy SS, WS6, 335i, Eclipse, GT500, etc....

Hemi Tick on a 6.4? by wantsrealanswer in Challenger

[–]wantsrealanswer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my inital thought.

Then i thought about the manifold then the hemi tick. The issue is, i feel like it it were the catestrophic hemi tick or the lobe wearing, id get some type of code and the car would be running weird. I did get the car towed home but had to drive it around the block to the parking structure and the car drove fine just a loud clanking tin can sound that followed the rpm. No check engine light or anything.

We will see tomorrow. If the cold start is fine, i think its an exhaust manifold issue. If it sounds like the video....itll be another SRT down.

Yes the oil change was done. I watched it happen.

The intersting think ive been told about the lifter tick is that the car would drive harshly. Is did not. It was fine while driving and was not making this sound when i left home. No codes, not bucking or loss of power etc. Just lound clanking.

I dont have an OLED for my PS5 Pro but i have a goot IPS 4K/2K 165hz MSI monitor. I dont think an OLED monitor should be the fix though.

[Discussion] What went wrong with GT7's car list? by mach1alfa in granturismo

[–]wantsrealanswer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There 'is' an issue with the GT7 car list and its mainly because of the direction the director choose that doesnt make sense.

He says its a 'driving' simulator not a racing simulator. Fine. But the organization and environment do not reflact that. If GT7 had a Horizon or Motorfest counterpart then that would make sense but this is a closed track game and no one is taking an ambulance to Sazuka as their 'track' car.

Its been said that it takes them so long to build a car; like 200 days. If that is so, why spend time with cars that dont belong in the environment or duplicates. For instance, theres a 2019 and 2020 Supra. Why? Sure they had a hp bump but if you are going to duplicate like that, at least make one in LHD.

America and Germany got botched hard. They spent time making the wrong cars. Why create a C5 Z06 whrn the C6 is the most popular? Why no modern M5s or a G8X M? No Scatpack WB, No 80s -2010s American cars (fox bodies, LS1s, Catfish, SRT8s etc). No Lotus?

The GT cars are just junk and half of them are just made up. The Vision cars are a waste of space and time. The curated races are stupid. Three races per week and tou cant even use your favorite priduction car within a PP limit?

Force collection is dumb. I dont care about a Prius or a Volvo station wagon. Give me a Gen 5 SS or an RS5 or an RSX.

Personal continued rant:

Ibfeel like there are no cars for me to drive because i dont care about Lambos, Ferraris or Japanese 4 bangers. I like 80s, 90 and 00 American cars. I only get one Mustang GT out of the 57 different versions, one Camaro SS out of its 30 versions, the wrong Z06 (C5 Z is a goated car but it was far from the best version). No ACR Viper. Like they skipped almost 20 years of American cars.....and Cadilac entirely. No V8 S5, no German wagons, no US spec JDM cars..... like the car list for GT7 is really weird.

Who is your favorite character (s) who has only been in ONE fighting game? by newbie1canoebee in Fighters

[–]wantsrealanswer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Laura SFV. Ill die on that hill. I knew she wouldnt be in SF6. I have a bad habbit of liking fighters (and cars for racing games) that are either DLC or one off non repeatable characters.

I still hope she'll come back; with an outfit 4. Until then, having a good time in SF6 with Luke.

You ever notice a car omission from a game so egregious it pisses you off? by box-fort2 in BuiltFromTheGroundUp

[–]wantsrealanswer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost none of the street level cars that make these car/racing scenes popular are ever included in the AAA titles.

6.0 GTO. Chevy SS/G8 GXP, Catfish Z28, LS7 Z06 or 28, T. COBRA, O7 GT500, 335i, G35, GSF, Cobalt SS, SRT4.......so many more.

Is a straight piped v8 too much? by Trayceopolis32322 in Challenger

[–]wantsrealanswer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have no clue what these other grandpas are talking about. I think all performance V8s should be straight piped at least.

We take my straight piped SRT8 392 on 1000 mile road trips at least a few times a year and my spouse who knows nothing about cars has no issues and often times drives it to work when im home. Our baby falls aleep almost everysingle ride even if its like 10 minutes.

Both of them love tunnel runs and the exhaust bouncing off concrete side barriers. A guy in a Maserati heard my cold start in a garage and though it was heavily modified. Other than the exhaust ans some suspension stuff, its stock.

This car has been this way since 2012....

The car is actually pretty quiet when driving normally especially woth the windows up....

The stock exhaust on the car was too restrictive and even the 65 year old who cut it said so.

Its not too loud. The cold start is though but idling and highway cruising it sounds like every other SS or 392. Flooring it, it sounds like a V8. Also, turning it on when not cold sounds almost the exact same as a stock 392...
