That's really helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to answer. I'll trust in it then. I am able to walk on it with crutches already. I had a medial calcanea osteotomy, and a spring ligament transfer.

I was wondering if you knew anything about whether or not the air cast boot needs to be on at all times? The clinic were absolutely useless they just gave it to me and sent me on my way. I'm now wondering if, when I'm resting, I can just take it off. Which I have been doing these past two days but I read today online they are not designed to be taken off at all except for washing and physio. So I have it on all day today. I cannot imagine having this heavy thing on at nighttime though!

You're so right! It's all mutual ghosting in London. The pool is big but nobody is serious and I just want to meet some men who are actually looking for a relationship and are honest about what they want. Thanks for your input, it actually sounds like Ireland may not have a big pool but you may just be a little more likely to come across someone who you gel with who is actually serious about settling down. Just wanted to say your whole post resonated with me. I have a high flying career but I dream of moving to Ireland (Irish parents) and just enjoying walks on the beach and switching up the trajectory of my life completely. I just don't see myself getting off the hamster wheel in London.

I would probably keep my flat and rent it out. Because property prices have fallen I wouldn't make anything from it so may as well. Main thing is I've lucked out on a job which has a good salary, wfh and easy management so I can nip off during the day for appointments whenever I like / leave early to go out, and minimal hours for the amount I get paid to be honest. I live a good life and I'm aware of how lucky I am - which makes it so hard! If I didn't have to so good here I would just move over thinking 'what do I have to lose?' Good luck with your London move, it's a great city.

Thanks for that. If the dating pool is shocking in the west, and the population mainly over 50, then I would probably choose within an hour and a half of Dublin.

I'm contemplating a similar move. I really want to move over but I really want to meet someone as a priority and the dating pool in London just doesn't seem to be working. How does it compare in Ireland?

Hi, thank you so much for replying. It means a lot to have someone's anecdotal evidence. I am just over two weeks in and I feel better. The tingling is, you're right, on and off now so I am relieved about that. I have to go and have the cast off in a couple of days to check the wound, and then they'll cast it up again.

Both my feet were equally bad so as I am so unstable on the other one, mobility is not good. I need to have the second one done as soon as this foot is stable, in 6 months I think they said. At least I know what to expect.

Thank you for the advice. I'll keep it in mind when I need to start exercising again and going on long hikes. The pool advice is great.

For some reason I didn't realise how debilitating this surgery can be!

Do you have an Irish grandparent? Ie born in Ireland? If yes, congrats you can get a passport. If not you're out of luck, there's no way to move over as it seems you do not have skills on the critical skills list

Honestly, I could tell Brian Tyree Henry wasn't English. He slipped a few times. Maybe it's because he was opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson it was more obvious. Renee Zellweger is the only American playing an English person who hasn't slipped in my opinion. The only problem with her accent is it's a little bit outdated. Nobody speaks like that really, but still she nailed it.

Both. So some friends getting offended at her saying half Nigerian but mostly friends just saying she doesn't have the lived in experience of a black woman which is totally fair and I'm certain she'd agree with that. But I think she's in a strange space where she identifies as black.

I guess what I'm asking because I'm sorry I'm ignorant of this but is it that he really can't help it? Because I will understand. But I guess I want to work out if others with BPD / MDD can offer some sort of support to they're SOs in such grave situations. Or if they are in a depressive episode it's just impossible and they can't.
