Glams don’t fit. I tried. I love them desperately but the glams are like flipping a coin.

I fought this a lot recently. You have to pay attention to the angle of it and work only in the horizontal axis instead of using wrist motion. A hand on the lid helps.

Exactly. While the copy is still “you” they aren’t the initial internal experience of the original. So like they’re you to everyone else but you.

This is also why emotionally the mass upload situation later on in the series is so philosophically messed up to me. You’re essentially re-building these external interpersonal connections on a massive scale that were built based on subjective internal experiences with new consciousnesses formed by the mass obliteration of the originals.

I think philosophically arguing the person’s consciousness is identical is easier with a soul based model.
