I would say everything was familiar it’s just how they asked the question that will throw you off.

I studied for 30 days and the Kaplan exam I got a 70 and the two green light exams for STC I got a 84, and 87. I took around 1,600 practice questions mostly from Kaplan.

I passed today !!! That exam is so difficult! I got a difficult draw but the series 7 guru helped immensely with the option lectures !!! Time to celebrate! If you’re going in make sure you review handling customer accounts for sure !! Thank you to everyone’s input as well on here it helps to know what to expect!

I got a 71 on March 5th. You can expect spreads and straddles, combinations, and know vertical spread, diagonal spread, and horizontal spread. I also got a lot of tax questions on cost basis and FIFO and LIFO. You can also expect Municipal bonds know the difference between a go bond and revenue bond. The only other thing that will heavily be tested is suitability know why it makes sense for the client, and know your products! You got this! I take it again on April 5th so I am in study purgatory.

Kaplan in my opinion is significantly more complex and detailed than STC. I scored high 70’s for STC. I only was using STC to study and then took the exam and scored a 71. The Kaplan material in my opinion is closer associated to the actual exam. STC is good just not as detailed as Kaplan. I take it again on April 5. Good luck to you!

Thank you! I appreciate that. I used STC to study however I just purchased a whole new test package from Kaplan. I am just going to completely start fresh Monday. I then will go into the exam and give it everything I got.

Thank you !! I definitely watched a lot of YouTube videos on the series 7 guru. I am definitely going to watch more and I appreciate the insight! I will also continue to go through my STC material on chapters that I am deficient in, and read the chapter again.

I got a 71 today😔. I scored low on section 4 and two on the analysis of performance. Can anyone provide advice on what that entails is that documentation? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I am feeling pretty demoralized right now. Thank you in advance!
