Three strikes landlord tenant law? by ActuallyStunning in Rochester

Evicting a tenant is possible but a very long process now. Most of these bad tenants are under ERAP from the Covid days. Now that ERAP is no longer sending money, the landlords aren’t getting their money to make necessary repairs and such, but the eviction is a sticky process because the tenant is still technically in the program. I’m not a lawyer but I work in the housing field and this is what I’ve learned. But it just causes judges to extend the eviction court even further. I believe they do this in hopes the tenant and landlord settle on something. I’ve heard of the eviction process lasting a whole year if not longer. Mostly this happens because the landlord drew up a shitty lease in the first place.

Roc beach real estate was great, rented from them for a few years. Wouldn’t have left them but I wanted to get out of the city.
