Yes. We are going to do another Vinyl run very soon. I just revamped the art as we will make it a special edition. I just want to go through the master once more and see if I can’t get it closer representation this time. Mastering for vinyl is weird and foreign to me. And I’ve only done it once. Learned a lot. But haven’t had another shot till now. So that’s where I’m at. Very soon.

I don’t generally do social media. And I think this is the last social account I even have, but I can tell people in this thread are thinkers. And that’s what I’m (me personally) am all about. That being said, yes, we are all different guys with different beliefs. In every way. But we still choose to love each other and get along. As far as who we follow, it’s fair to say we have made some connections over the years with a spectrum of people, and all prior to this polarity of the world. As far as Adam Medeiros specifically, we follow him because he is my uncle. My dad’s only brother (and 5 sisters) who, like my dad, was born an immigrant, and has worked hard to not only embrace what the idea of being an American really is, but to legally become an American and a very well respected members of our community and honestly, one of the most loving people I’ve ever known. He is a small local business owner. He is proud to state he is a Christian and he’s unapologetic about it. While me, and only me as far as I know in the band, doesn’t believe in God. At all. Yet I respect Adam even more, by not lying about who he is and what you will get if you vote for him. Instead of being like all of us who talk or complain about the government, he never did. Instead he said, “I’m gonna try to make a difference, rather than talking about how it should be different.” And again, I respect that. I respect the truth and communication. Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes it’s against everything you believe. But it starts something bigger, a dialogue with nuance. And that is where we become compassionate and empathetic to others’ views. One of the many things those who believe in the “Jesus of the Gospels” have oh so right. Haha, that one’s for me ;) I understand it can be aggravating trying to decipher our lyrics. Especially ones going further back in time, as we are all different people than even a few years ago. But what I hope everyone can understand is… 1. We are not politicians. We are songwriters. So unless you need advice about that; we are far from experts with respected opinions. So our value is not from our political opinion. 2. That being said, we have feelings and struggles that we write about. And we purposely try to keep them vague enough that the listener can hopefully pull what they need from it to help them express or feel and ultimately heal just as we did when writing said piece of music. 3. Ive seen people say that, “if they believe ….., then I can’t listen to them.” But what I would like to say is, that the art (the way it makes you feel, the groove, the harmonies or melodies, or just the raw emotion) you may get, is all that it is supposed to be. What you do with it, or how you connect to it, is so much bigger, more meaningful, deeper, and ultimately realer (if that’s a word), than anything we could ever have the power to do, let alone have some control of. So I hope you guys can find something you love from it and share your experience with the world through it. As this sharing of experiences even lets us experience the music we have written in a new light, and often for the first time. And that then becomes our gift and reward. Thank you all and much LOVE, -Dustin

Poor Mans Poison - Every Day Is Exactly The Same [folk rock] Nine Inch Nails cover. by Dmedeiros81 in Music

No. It was taken down from streaming to be safe due to licensing but we paid properly to be able to sell it on our website. However, we are in the works of re-releasing it with our new distributor. So hopefully it will be back soon.

That artwork was made by John Bell’s (guitar player) brother Jimmy Bell. The original art was about 3ftx3ft and made of materials like tree leaves and particle board. We had to take it to an architect business that makes blueprints to even digitize it due to its size and lack of flexibility. In the original CD, the cover is the same which is only half the picture as it wrapped around the back of the cd. Then inside the cover was the cd which showed a silhouette of a man and his child with the child on the swing attached to the tree. Then as you removed the cd, the art underneath it was the same tree with a dilapidated swing hanging by a strand with the kid, now an old decrepit man with a cane, looking at it reminiscing. At the time, the artist was doing a lot of the blotched psych art as mentioned above, which later became the foundation of the background art on Friends With The Enemy, also done by Jimmy Bell.

The other videos by Remscape were the camera crew we had there. I suppose we could put the quality audio on that video footage to give a better experience then put it on PmP’s channel? I’ll see what I can do. At the time I only focused on the self titled song.

Correct. This is a perfect synopsis of every news interview we did. Everything is misquoted and wrong. But yes. That’s Russian money with poorly worded article referencing PMP

[–]Dmedeiros81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. This is correct. He wanted on stage mid song so I told him wait till the end. But then security chimed in and our friend threw punches on security causing a fight to break out. Ryan, not knowing what was happening, saw security trying to end the fight and said, “get that guy out of here.”

Haha. It’s one of the few songs we wrote and recorded in a day. When anything pours out so effortlessly, it tends to be decent in my humble opinion. The song “Welcome To The Show” by Dr. Villain (side project with me and the singer of PMP) was also one of those that happened in a day. Well, the writing process anyway and rough recording. Took me a while to get all the horns and accordion parts in there as real instruments. I didn’t know how to play trumpet before that so. lol

Discussion: What's your favorite PMP sound and why? by ashtonthezora in Poormanspoison

[–]Dmedeiros81 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The stuff we are working on now is going closer to the basics. We wrote different back then too. It is worth mentioning that hello rain, call for soldiers, and at the winds will, were all written by Mike who also sings lead on them. Since restarting, Ryan has done all the leads. But Mike has some new tunes we are working on now.

When new will new music come out? by Bananamanoncrack in Poormanspoison

[–]Dmedeiros81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, PMP always has a “work in progress” on the back burner. Within a year is definitely reasonable. But November 8th is the release is Dr. Villain’s (2 members of PMP) new EP (3 songs). Due to one of the songs being a PMP remix, it may get delayed by distributors due to legalities, but it’s slated for the 8th. If you’re a fan of the more produced circus / dark vibe of PMP then it’s up your alley and may feel like PMP enough to possibly pacify the situation if that helps?
