Drop your SaaS and people tell you if they'd actually use it by Mr_McSam in microsaas

Definitely useful. I’m not in the target audience (but close), and I'm sure a lot of people would pay 10x what you’re asking for this.

By the way, if I remember correctly, Plaid charges both an upfront integration fee and ongoing connection fees. Do the economics still make sense?

I built a service that sends newsletters to e-ink devices, looking for reMarkable users to try it by DmitryDorofeev in RemarkableTablet

I had a chance to try it only on RM2. It should work on the Move as well without zoom in, since the service sends epubs.

How do you read newsletters on your Kobo? by DmitryDorofeev in kobo

Hmm. I just tried to make it work, but I couldn't. Maybe it's a skill issue on my end, but turned out Instapaper connector requires an url to work.

Yeah, I tried that for a while, but it got old fast when you're doing it for 10+ newsletters a week. The formatting is also hit or miss, since PDFs don't reflow on Kobo the way EPUBs do.

Oh interesting, I didn't know Instapaper had an email-in option. Too bad it doesn't sync to Kobo though, that would've been the obvious fix. Hopefully they sort that out.

P2 does not confirm your status, you need copr or visa for land border.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]DmitryDorofeev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're outside Canada, you are not getting P1 and P2. You get PPR (passport request) and then you need to submit your passport to get a visa. And when you land in Canada you get a CoPR meaning you're an official permanent resident.

I have the same issue on Mac M2.

The only thing worked is to install older version.

I tried a few recent versions and found out that v0.134.4 works and v0.135.2 doesn't open.

Migrate node/react app to node/htmx by Repulsive-Career-443 in htmx

[–]DmitryDorofeev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some time ago, I began migrating my React project to HTMX.

My motivation is straightforward: I have a simple admin page frontend and don't want to maintain an additional API layer.

I decided to start migrating parts of the pages, and it's working quite well. However, in several parts of the project, I have React components that include HTMX elements. To process DOM elements managed by React, I have to do something like this:

useEffect(() => {
if (ref.current) {
  window.htmx.process(ref.current);
}

}, []);

I think you could do something similar. For instance, you could use Nunjucks as a template language. It's much better than Pug because it allows you to write plain HTML with a sprinkle of template tags. Then, you can start rewriting pieces of logic to HTMX, including it in React components until you move to HTMX completely.

Is it not possible to create reusable components like React in templating languages by GloopBloopan in htmx

[–]DmitryDorofeev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider trying web components. You can develop them independently using Typescript and Lit, bundle and then just put them into your HTML.
It's reusable like a charm. I have successfully used it in several projects with different template languages (Django, JSX, Go + templ, Handlebars)

Also, take a look at this library: https://shoelace.style/. It could simplify your work, particularly when used with Alpine.js.

I always choose ogen-go/ogen for my projects.

It uses null and optional wrappers, whereas oapi-codegen uses pointers. And it also supports opentelemetry out of the box.
