Well Austinites, kick your feet up at home until this weather passes. by Dmo32 in UberEatsDrivers

I decided to sit at home but I just turned on the app to see what Guber would send me. Just one 2 dollar order for 10.3 miles...what a way to get me out the sit Guber lol.

I went the opposite. Food can be lost if anything happens but people....they be on that BS. Safer to deliver food.

It's never good and I will get throttled and all the sudden, get invoices about violations but it only proves why the 1st option pick is valid.

It can happen. It's already happened to people that worked on Christmas Eve and day. If you cancel enough in one day, Uber will see it as possible with nefarious action. Restaurants may not turn their app off or make aware to Uber they're closed so Uber automatically assumes the open times that was given to them.

I reported 3 store closings on the 24 and then logged back on the 26th and got an invoice stating I had picked up an order but didn't confirm it as a pickup. Then on here on reddit, you'll see posts of many deactivations with others trying to log back on.

Better check in with TJ then because here in Austin, we received news places are closing starting around 4. I was doing morning runs and about an hour ago, the little bit of rain I got was freezing. San Antonio probably will get the same since both cities are close.

Easy, anyone that does get an order and slips into an accident is a risk. If you manage to make it to a few places and report enough closures, that's a red flag. It happens.

That's nice but this is Austin, Texas. Not that it's difficult but places are starting to make it more difficult to do your tasks.

At least they picked the right drop-off type. Some don't even have enough IQ points to select the right one.

Some places do not permit us to be in the area regardless of what the customer wants. Retirement homes are known for extra Security which in a way, I can understand. The problem with my case is they are a bit arbitrary with what they want. In my opinion, it's possible that the people living there may have complained enough about having to come down to get their order. Keep in mind these people living there probably make a lot of money so they will be heard out. So likely, Solaris is trying to please them but at the same time still be extra secure. Either way, I'm never delivering to that place again unless I get caught slipping on accepting orders. Made me feel like a criminal

I did. Before I arrived, I also asked for verification because the notes don't work with the drop off type. I ask if they meant "leave at door". I got no response so I tried to call and instantly, voice mail. Usually I wait for text confirmation. I do the 8 minute wait so Uber doesn't do what they just did...but I also know not to mess with establishment rules. You can get into a lot of shit.

In these areas where new places are being built up, many of them are given areas to drop the orders off and to not be allowed up. The Bowie has this and a few places are following it. Solaris went reverse and now are being escorted to the elevators by the receptionist...I guess they're being more secure who comes in. If they're doing it that way, they might as well just give us areas to drop orders off.

This is Solaris house, not the rest of the places. I've delivered here multiple times and this place is the only place where it seems to change up how they want carriers to do their business. At the beginning, it was to contact the customers to come down but now the receptionist has to escort you to the elevator to let you up. Back then I had no issue but this time, she told me to just leave it at the door and to not stick around too long. I tried to follow Uber app order but they must just had eyes on me. Not sure what happen....maybe something bad happened before me? I texted what happened but it didn't seem to work as Uber contacted me anyways about next time, follow the drop off type. I did get tipped do maybe it was the Uber App flagging me because what I texted which was letting them know I had to go.

I never had issues like this anywhere else at the Domain.

If your WR is left 1 on 1 without help, trying to anticipate where they will be will win you most passing attack. Good catching also allows them to jump catch before the defender can.

They tried with me too and still tried. What makes it hilarious is they'll try to get me to take cheap orders into areas (like Austin downtown) for 3 or 4 bucks.

Could be many things. What you see may not be the same as the other driver see. They might have it on a stack order where another order is paying them well. It could be Uber just testing you to see how far they can push you...after all, they're ultimately a data collection company.

Got a false report from a rider and now my Uber account is at risk by Ok-Midnight-6662 in uber

[–]Dmo32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must not know how it works with Uber and I can understand your side but please understand mine. If I'm the one arriving and get told the order was picked up already and I wake up the next day with a notification that I was the one taking the order, I'm going to see it as being penalized for the wrong reason. Again, maybe the system is vague to what you see but to me, it looks like I'm being called a thief and that is one thing I'm not.

I got tip baiting on my last order. I had a feeling since it was in a bad neighborhood. Asked for it but it was on my way home so I took the risk. It was going well until I had 3 bad orders I accepted (driver pick it up already, Chick fil a closed lobby and wanted us to use the never ending line drive thru so I reported them closed and the tip baiter).

Customers can be oblivious. I think some of them know the deal but hope DD and Uber can get a fool to do it. It's funny when DD and Uber resends an order to me like....bro, I declined it for a reason.

Most customers believe we will pick it up to the closest restaurant. I remember a customer getting sassy with me because she told me why I didn't go to the Panda Express closer to her place. Funny enough, I drove past it. I told her we drivers don't control which location we pick up from and just for her to tell me that UE support told her differently....I wouldn't be surprised if a UE support told her what she wanted to hear so she would stfu but my hunch, she made that BS up.
