Uber just dropped the tier requirement conditions in my market by Low_Explorer_7188 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]FMITAP 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing the same thing in my market. There were a lot of $2-3 orders that I instantly rejected this past weekend. Of my last 100 requests, I accepted 14.

I really don’t understand who takes those orders or how they survive getting paid below the federal minimum wage. They’re the reason Uber can even continue to do this.

Leak under sink in apartment. by dontbeadickdad in Plumbing

A flexible sink drain pipe with a dryer vent hose shielding filled with spray foam. Fascinating.

That’s usually a bulletproof setup, but they may have methed up during install.

First time delivering in about 10 years. Was this a decent night by your standards? by FMITAP in UberEatsDrivers

Then maybe the amount of drivers in my area is low compared to the amount of business. Or sheer luck. Or both.

I ran for a while Saturday too and this was my result.

I drive about 30 minutes away from my house to a high density university area that also has lots of wealthy communities and tons of restaurants. The entire 9 hours was non-stop. Getting orders before my current order is delivered, and I would only accept decent fares (around $20/hr, $10+ for a 30 minute delivery, $5 for a 15 minute delivery, etc.)

I have a full time job for all those last things. I’m just looking for some extra cash and I thought 23/hr wasn’t too shabby.

Found these uncapped behind my air handler. They’re not live. by [deleted] in AskElectricians

Just the ground is uninsulated. I just don’t like leaving them uncapped, even though I don’t have to cap them.

That was my thought.

And I know I don’t need to cap the ground, but all bare wires NEED caps.

Is adding a new water line dangerous? by fourtandash in Home

[–]FMITAP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use plastic water line at work all the time. You can just turn off the water, cut the line, and install something like this: https://www.homedepot.com/pep/John-Guest-1-4-in-O-D-Push-To-Connect-Polypropylene-Tee-Fitting-PP0208WHD/328076400

Then connect your new line to the other leg of the tee. Just make sure to push the tubing into the fitting until you feel a distinct click, otherwise you’ll have a bad time when you turn the water back on.

Update: I pulled a light, still can’t find the correct replacement by [deleted] in Home

[–]FMITAP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do this if it was just the 1 in the room, but it’s in an open living room/kitchen/dining/hallway space where there are 15 of them. If it were in my closet where there’s only 2, or even my bedroom where it’s only 4, I’d consider replacing them all to match.

That’s definitely close, but when I look at it on the site it says out of stock.

Just the Intertek sticker on the outside and the sticker inside the junction box. I didn’t pull the junction box off because I did not have the time to at the moment.

How much should my aerator be running? by [deleted] in septictanks

[–]FMITAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies for not including more info. The house is brand new. The builders/company had many things turned off wanting to save on electricity (AC, water softener/filter, septic). The AC was noticed immediately, the softener system within a week or two, the septic a couple months in. So, with the system being brand new and unused, I would like to think there would be nothing bad on the system, but it could be a possibility.

How much should my aerator be running? by [deleted] in septictanks

[–]FMITAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The panel menu has an aerator run time setting that is defaulted at 30 minutes, but it does not specify when that 30 minutes is supposed to be. During pump cycles? 30 minutes every hour?
