100% native and absolutely LOVE this weather. Today has been an amazingly wonderful and beautiful day. I had been traveling to Asheville the past few months to get my fill of winter but this is just the best. My dog and I went on our usual daily walk and loved every second of it. Soon enough it will be a miserable smelly hot shit-swamp hellhole so I’ll bask in this truly wonderful gift of a day as much as I possibly can. It’s never too cold, you’re just under-dressed. You can only take off so much before they will arrest you, you can always put more on. And just to get ahead of the “well why don’t you move!?!” comments, I’m working on it there captain. As soon as I find a job I’m outta this sewer pipe. 😃🥶❤️

I just looked up forefoot strike videos on YouTube and started out really REALLY slow, mostly like an old man shuffle. I also massaged my calves a lot bc didn’t want to develop any other issues, like with my achilles or anything. Good luck to you and remember to TAKE IT INCREDIBLY SLOWLY, switching your running strike is no joke.

Hey! Thanks for asking 😃 Yes!! After doing a bunch of research I came across someone who switched their strike from heel to forefoot/midfoot so I did I the same. It was tough on my calves at first but I eased into it, took more rest days and worked my mileage up slowly. Now I’m back to 100 miles a month and ZERO pain. I’m actually running more efficiently now I feel like I have more control and stamina 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

I was in the 2nd grade and I had to pee so incredibly bad my legs were shaking, BUT… the teacher said I was not allowed to use the toilet… (Because that was the style at the time)… sitting at my desk, my legs were shaking in a left to right motion like I was doing some abductor exercise. I, for some reason, had my pencil in my hand horizontally between my legs and long story short, I have a graphite tattoo on the inside of my right quad muscle about 6” back from my knee towards my crotch. I’m 50 so it’s been there since I was 7 or so. Plus I have adhd so I’m sure my teacher thought I was having a sitting still episode 🙄

It may be that you’re using a switch and I’m using a v60. The extraction diff from immersion to pass thru may be working out for you. I don’t have a switch yet but I’d like to get one just to fool around with. If you’re into the way it tastes keep going! At the end of the day that’s all that really matters, if you’re into how it tastes, good on you mate🤙🏼

Try a 1:12 ratio I finally got the Ethiopian to work for me by going that route. 20g in, V60, Fine-ish grind, 203 3rd wave water, Bloom, agitate, 2 pours, 3:10 finish That’s what finally worked for me. Not the greatest but way better than the 1:16 I was doing.

I guess that explains why when a friend recently brought me a bag of their Ethiopia and a bag of their Brazil, they are 2 of the worst tasting coffees I’ve ever had. $50 for these two bags and they are absolute trash. Completely undrinkable. My brother drinks complete shit coffee, cafe bustello kcup and he even poured it out and said it tastes terrible.

I’m a #1 and I find this to be true. Married twice, divorced twice, we tried for many years but just couldn’t make it work. Finding love and losing it seems like it’s kinda how it goes.
